What kind of alcoholic-beverages are you into?

Read this first before posting -> I enjoy drinking, so I am posting something about drinking in hopes of seeing what others here on SP are into. If you don't like or appreciate drinking, I respect your opinion and find that all fair and just. However, please do not barge in this thread and flame or insult others because they enjoy drinking.

I got off class earlier today, and quickly went back to my town (30 mins away), there, I went to the closest ATM machine to view my balance in my checking account. Realizing that I got my paycheck recently, I squealed like a happy fangirl and rushed to the local "Wines & Spirits" to buy the following items:

I love whiskey. Love it. I can drink it straight, or mix it with Pepsi, Coke, RC Cola, or even Root Beer. I sort of enjoy vodka, but not as much as whiskey. Vodka sometimes just smells like rubbing-alcohol to me, but Grey Goose was something a close friend of mine highly recommended. I've had Wild Turkey a ton of times, but this one's a tad different since it's Rye Whiskey, and I wanted to try it. 101 proof whiskey, by the way. Where as Grey Goose vodka is 40% alcohol, and 80 proof. I usually drink the stronger stuff these days, straight.

What do you prefer to drink, SouthPerry? Explain why and some of the brands you enjoy! Also, recommend some to others if you think they might enjoy it.

My personal favorite is one that you don't even remotely drink in the US, and it's called Fernet Branca. It's a damn hard knocking b'itch, and I love it. Its 45% alcohol and macerated wood taste are awesome.

I have it mostly with Coke, which is the way most people drink it anyway.

Then I like whiskey, vodka, rhum and beer a lot.

For whiskies, Jack Daniels, Chivas, JB, any of those makes the cut. I've had worse whiskies though. I prefer my whiskey on the rocks, but I don't mind it at all with Red Bull or another energy drink.

For vodkas, Smirnoff or Eristoff is the most accesible for me, and the cheaper. But I wouldn't mind some citronella Absolut, or Citric Absolut. Those things are so good you can drink them alone ;_;

Also, Rhum is without a doubt Bacardi. Gold if you ask me.

And for beers, Heineken is the best. HEINEKEN B'ITCHES. [/color]

I don't really like vodka anymore, but used to when I first started drinking. Belvedere is pretty nice. I usually drink rum if i'm drinking hard liquor now (Captain Morgan typically) or Jager. I remember Disaronno is really sweet, but I could drink that straight all day. Mixed drinks are usually good too. I remember a while ago I was messing around with stuff...chocolate vodka (Three Olives) + coke kinda tastes like a tootsie roll. AMF's are good too (and really cool-looking). Also Blue Moon is my favorite beer.

Jack Daniel's is great, but then there's Gentleman Jack's. I prefer the latter, it just tastes better to me. I drank Smirnoff before too, I have a giant bottle of Smirnoff Raspberry vodka in my cabinet, actually. As far as Rum goes, I enjoy my Captain Morgan's:

-Spiced Rum
-Long Island Tea

Fernet does indeed have an, uh, interesting taste. Taste like moth the first time, at least I feel like that.

As usual, my love-drink is this.
Though, I make it myself now, instead of buying. Usually results in better taste and cheaper prizes. Also, making stuff yourself is pretty funny, and usually taste horrible unless you manage to get a good recipe.

Tequila, absinthe, bacardi, cognac and clean vodka also scores high on the list. As long it's over 60 proof, it's good.

Oh and yeah, beer.

Hmm. Bacardi for sure. Ciroc because it's smooooooth going down. Any fruity drinks. And my all time favorite?

mmmmmm... Jagerbombs.

I don't know a lot about alcohol but i drink occasionally. Lol.

I only drink on parties, I'm definately not an expert but I like:
Rum - Mostly with coke, but there's severall mixes that are great too, also white rum (bacardi apple) with ginger ale or another white soda is great.
Pisco - You've probably never heard of this one, it's a chilean drink, kind of between rum and vodka, closer to the taste of rum, if you ever get a bottle, try it. Many people like it alone, I like it with coke!
As for vodka, I'm not a great fan but I do like it, Don't know much about brands, but my cousin once brought a "Belvedere" and it sure was the best vodka I've tasted.
Oh There's also Tequila, but that's just cause it's fun to drink shots, salt - shot- lemon!

Rum, specifically malibu
Various liquers (mmm goldschlager)
Beer, mostly Molson Canadian due to cheapness and availability.

No mixing. Mixing is for platypi.

Cosmos pretty much sum up everything I adore, and I've always been attracted to the clear crispness of Vodka.

I'm not really a drinker, but the two drinks I prefer most are:

Pisang Ambon, a Banana Liquor. It's a dutch brewed liquor, but it's originally from Indonesia, but was imported during dutch colonialism there (Yay for colonialism! ). Pisang means banana in Malay/Indonesian and Ambon is the name of an Indonesian island which was once a Dutch colony.


And off course Baccardi Breezer Orange, nothing beats this one imo!

I'll gladfully admit I've never had Bacardi, at all. I know friends who said that it's a great brand too, haha. I tried Malibu a ton of times, and didn't like it too much. Had Jager a ton of times too, I can't recall how many bottles of Jager I must have bought over the years.

I'm forced to drink a big shot of it clean once per semester. Never tried it with Coke.

Will try Pisco if I can find it.
And yeah, Jäger is good as well. But only clean, really.

Jack Daniel's is my personal preference. Not really a fan of beer, but if I have to drink one I prefer New Castle. I also like Bailey's and Kalua as something just to drink casually :3
