So today I got an email from Nexon begging me to come back, and bribing me with a code that'll give me

• 5 Safety Charms
  
• 5 VIP Teleport Rocks
  
• 2x EXP card (4 hours)
  
• Random weapon cover
  

Did anybody else get this recently? lol

I got an awesome idea for abusing this. Just make HEAPS of accounts and abandon them until they get this! Has anybody done that before?

(I'm not going back to MS btw)

They KIND OF did this with JMS, too. If you hadn't logged in since the 1st of the year, they give you a free hair/face/skin change cupon or some other random, useless shiet.

It's not really something you can abuse since they're not TOO great and you can't exactly transfer items from one account to another, so unless you want to have 50 different characters leveling up at the same time with free 2x experience cards, you can't do anything to abuse this.

Oh, the codes can't be used on a different account to the one they were receieved on?

No, I mean that the codes work on other accounts. It's stupid that they would allow it. You would think they would set it up so each code would be encrypted to work for that specified account only. Then again, Nexon is Nexon... There's bound to be SOMETHING exploitable by its players that they will always over-look.

I've not gotten any letter like this recently.

I think they do this to know which account are from the same person, lol. Is easier they just make "claim yours items just entering to the cash shop!".

You can use the codes on other accounts, I have a second account I don't use, and I got an email with a code. Used it on my main account, got free stuff!

I mentioned this in the IRC earlier.. it's been happening for quite a while now. I got it on my Aran account when it launched.. ironically enough, I already had the character made, lmao.

Dw, they send them over a period of time. Last time all of the emails ranged around 5 days.

I havent got one, I never get any Nexon Newsletters even though I've signed up for them on all my accounts...

Pretty sad, but since I got my NW to like 5x or so, I no longer feel compelled to play it or my Night Lord. I get bored. Sadly, I spent NX on it like ..5 days before I 'quit'. <_< Let's hope I play a bit during the Summer out of boredom, so it feels like I didn't waste money.

On-topic though, it's a pretty crappy way to attract players. Not like a couple VIP rocks and charms will make them go back. Not even a 2x EXP card, hell, that makes it worse because then they'll remember how tedious it was to grind through this terrible game.

Exactly. The only way to make players go back is to greatly improve both their level of customer service and gameplay. There has been nothing new to do on MS since PB came out except upgrade gear, which I find extremely boring, and make new characters, none of which are interesting at all.
