Awesome Pokemon that suck
#1
Post some of your most favorite Pokemon that suck ass when it comes to using them. My first pick is Xatu.

This bird right here can see the past and future at the same time. It has a pretty cool design as well, in my opinion. I'd like to own one of these in real life. It'd probably stand in one place all day, taking nibbles at its food I lay out in front of it every now and then. I always liked its design.

It's too bad that it has such a crappy movepool and mediocre stats.

I still have one for single player play, but it's mostly used to fly me around.

Are we talking suck suck, or tourneyf'ag suck.

Because I just know that the tourneyf'ags will pour in here and say something like "Hurp durp all Pokemon that aren't Scizor, Metagross, or Vaporeon suck."

Back in Diamond he was my Pickup slave. With 6 of them I was raking in delicious potions, balls, and Nuggets. They were also cute to boot. Obviously they suck for battling, stat wise and move wise.

Serious response:

You decide. If you use the Pokemon and it gets knocked out before you can really enjoy having it out, it's up to you to decide of it sucks or not. Xatu was never really useful to me, but it's a pretty cool Pokemon. In Gen IV it does have Heat wave + Psychic + Signal beam to work with, but that's pretty much one of the best offensive movesets it can really have. It's very limited in its use, and will usually go down in one or two turns. Luckily it has pretty nice speed, otherwise it'd get wrecked by anything of equal or greater level to it.

In the single player game I keep it around and occasionally send it out if I know it can beat whatever I'm sending it on. In an actual battle (doesn't have to be competitive battle, a tough in game battle is enough) then I'd save it for when I'm desperate, because it'd get taken out fast.

Overall, Xatu seemed like a Pokemon that could have been made better than it was. You'd expect it to at least have a pretty nice ability, given that it can see the future, or a wider variety of moves at its disposal. Xatu doesn't have much to work with, really.

I laughed in a stifling manner when I thought of typing it that way. Purposely typed it in that fashion to see who would have a dirty enough mind to pick it up. That sure didn't take long.

I like the whole Slak[suffix] family. I love sloths. But I never use any of the slak's because they don't fit in my team of misfits.

By that chart...

Flareon, Glaceon, Leafeon, Eevee, Rapidash, Absol, Tentacruel, Seviper, Cherrim, Venomoth, Beautifly, Sableye, Sharpedo, Ursaring, Nidoking and Blaziken i'd put forth, off the top of my head.

These. And Flareon is pretty nice too, but due to it's lack of physical moves he can barely use his high Att stat.

Tentacruel is a pretty useful stall pokemon, actually.

For me it would probably be Clefable.

Um, Clefable kicks ass. It's one of the best Pokemon in UU.

I'd say Ampharos.

Butterfree.

Was always mad because the versions I kept buying never had it, but this time I got lucky on my version and in the Bug Catching contest it was the first pokemon to show up.

Venomoth, Vaporeon, and Tropius are the only that come to mind.
