This new PiC isn't all that great

To make a long story short, I mostly play on my Main account, a lvl 163 BM. Being a nice person I let other people use my bishop to leech with, and also let them play my Night Lord.

Yesterday every char was deleted from both accounts. The notable losses were the 153 bishop, xhealiex, and the lvl 140 NL RoxStarz. Both people that had access to the accounts swear they didn't do it, but its a moot point, its my prob for sharing the accounts. Just wanted to warn people that with this new PiC character sharing can be alot more dangerous.

I'm still a bit in shock that I could lose three years of effort just like that.

Well, we kinda figured out this possibility on day 1 since PIC implementation. Sorry for your loss but I'd be sadder to have to doubt my friends than lose my chars.

There has also been increased reports in email hijacking recently, which totally render all the new security features useless and making them less secure in protecting your characters. But I guess this doesn't apply to you since you didn't mention email change and/or password/PIC change.

Well, yes they can delete your chars with pic and we knew it. But Im sure that it was your friends who did it :/

On day 1 of PIC implementation, we knew that this would be a new consequence of account sharing thanks to making logging in and character deletion both rely on the PIC system. Sorry to hear about your loss, but you really did bring it upon yourself.

Part of me thinks that character deletion shouldn't be so simple and they should add the extra layer of security in addition to the PIC because character deletion is probably even more serious than just hacking off the equips.

You'd better secure your email that's connected to your account too, since once somebody has your username and password, it takes 5 seconds to obtain the email connected to it.

Log in Nexon.net, then go to charge account.

Select 30k NX Cash, then choose Pay By Cash option.

Select "Money Order or Cashiers Check by Mail" option, click continue and voila~

Same thing happened to me, except it was a 178 Marksman and they some how guessed my e-mail information.

Oh, btw, Nexon responded to my BBB complaint with a "we dun do custmer servize thru 3rd party pr0gram go log a ticket" when in fact, I logged a ticket DAYS before I submitted a BBB complaint. Microsoft denied me access to my e-mail for insufficient information (wtp?), so looks like about 0 progress has been made so far.

IMO bad you for sharing accounts.
