I can level Staravia 3 times in the same time it takes Bastiodon to get one level starting at the same level. Trying to train a weak ass Bastiodon early in Pearl (or any game, presumably) is ridiculous.

...what difference does more than one make? I prefer using Lucky Eggs and switching out.

Also, try levelling a Breloom. Got to keep it as a Shroomish until 40-something for Spore, and then it takes 1,640,000 exp to hit 100.
