When does Time travel work out?
#1
It seems to back fire most of the time. For example: It helped Trunks in DBZ but it also caused his death in another version of the future. Not to mention it allowed Cell to also time travel and go on a rampage..Hurt

I've always wondered, had time travelling been possible, wouldn't it have always been? We don't need to wait until year 5000 to see time travelling since people from that year should be coming to us, no?

My thoughts on time travel can be summed up with this comic!

Lol @ Taiketo

Dragon Ball is only fiction.

If time travel were to occur in real life, nothing we know now would ever be the same, unless, of course, the events in our history has happened due to time travel. In which case, it's good. However, if it's bad, someone could simply do the slightest thing and possibly destroy the entire planet. Anything and everything would be changed completely if it weren't mean to happen.

It's all situational, really. If it was meant to happen, it'll have happened. If it isn't meant to happen, it'll f'uck everything up. Like professor Farnsworth said, "Don't do anything or you can change the course of history! Unless, of course, you were supposed to do it! In which case, DON'T NOT DO IT!" ... Or something to that effect, I don't remember, really. lol

I prefer the jigsaw look on time travel that gets used in the Hitchhikers Guide and Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox. Doesn't matter how often you travel around or what you do cause in the end it'll all fit neatly together like a jigsaw puzzle.

This is indeed a disturbing universe.

This scientist from "Lost" had a theory that one could change events but at great personal cost and risk. (Wat is the point of a flash sideways anyway?)

It would work like this:

We would return back in time but the events that would cause you to have an idea for the time machine wouldn't change. For example, if a person's death inspired the idea for a time machine and you decide to make one to go back into time to fix this problem with your own hands and stop the death of an individual, it wouldn't work because it would be A) the reason and B) mess with the time frame.

Or that's how I would think of it.
