Well, I've been sitting at home a lot lately due to Spring Break, and I was wondering if anybody could give me any suggestions as to what to watch? As long as it has English subtitles, I don't mind trying to watch. I don't know what type of anime I like specifically, but I could always pull up a list of what I have watched, albeit a small one because I don't remember all of the series I've seen:
- Gundam (G, Wing, Seed, Seed Destiny, 0083 [Stardust Memory], etc)
- Toradora (started watching this recently)
- Digimon (♥

Not interested in anime that just has pointless bloodshed, or fighting. I get bored of those fast, which is why I could never watch Bleach to start with. Thanks for the suggestions. I also won't watch Lucky Star, I tried for about 15 minutes into the very first episode, and was on the verge of nonstop twitching.

So, anything but crappy shounen and Lucky Star?
I guess we'll start with the usual smattering.
Cowboy Bebop
Death Note
Kannagi
Mahou Sensei Negima (Same guy who did Love Hina)
Bakemonogatari
Mushishi
Spice and Wolf
Eden of the East
And the usual chart:

Pretty much. Funny seeing Vision of Escaflowne on that 'list' too, I chuckled quite a bit. I've seen Spice and Wolf, it's not bad. Oh, Shakugan no Shana was okay for the first 10 episodes, then it got so overly repetitive that it felt more like a tedious chore for me to even try to watch it, so I stopped.

If you're down with all sorts of genres, you could just run down ANN's rankings and look for stuff that piques your interests.

I like to do that when I get stumped.

Ah, thanks for that list! It'll help! Might try that "Rosario + Vampire" series too, a friend told me about it a while back, hmm

Great sig. street ^
Aah a Digimon fan, I liked that show until the heroes started taking their cloths off in the later seasons.
I would pick Card captor Sakura but I saw the americanized version back in the day, so Im not sure how the sub titled version would be.

As I always have to vouch for the .hack series, but i'd only suggest watching the anime if you're willing to do at least 1 or 2 of the following things: the .hack series consists of video games (default, main story, you HAVE to play these) manga, and the novels. The correct order of going about this is (with *'d things being the most important): A.I. Buster (novel)->A.I. Buster 2 (Novel)-> .hack//SIGN* (anime)-> .hack//infection, mutation, outbreak, and quarantine* (PS2 Games)->Legend of the Twilight (MANGA, never watch the anime version, it is non-canon and doesn't affect the series). That's all for project .hack. For .hack Conglomerate, which takes place AFTER the first series, is: .hack//Alcor (manga)-> .hack//Roots* (anime)-> .hack//G.U.* (PS2 Games). That's all that I know that was released in america. If you aren't going to play the games, that's really the end of the main storyline.

Guess I'm late to the party.
Eureka Seven
Mushishi
Planetes
Also, Gintama. It's a little bit long (200 episodes) and still going, but take that as a sign of how awesome it is!
