I don't know how many Lufia (US name) / Estpolis (non-US name) fags like myself browses SP since it wasn't as big as other named games from the mid 1990's. But that doesn't stop the series from being one of the best game series I've ever played.
"Estpolis: The Land Cursed by the Gods" is a revamp (noet necessarily remake) of the game "Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals" for the DS. The original game is a 2d turn-based battle system and this new game is a more modern, 3d field battle system (think God of War II). From what I've seen the puzzles in this game looks similar to Lufia II (hook shots and arrows). The new world map is based on Lufia II, though not exactly the same. I believe you're still going clockwise around the world as you progress through the game but I'm not sure. The music however remains completely the same... which is good and bad in my opinion. Bad that there's nothing new to expect when it comes to music but good in the sense that the originals composed by Yasunori Shiono were badass enough that they can be used again and still be awesome.
The game was just released on Feb. 25th (about 2 weeks ago) in Japan but so far no word on an international release date >:
