Remote Hack has reached MapleSEA!

Similar to whats happening in GMS now, someone with a weird ign(usually) trades you and asks you to cc.
The moment you do it, you will dc and when you come back, all your mesos will be gone, in the character and in the bank.
It looks like the only difference is the hacker only target mesos, and left all the items untouched.

To prevent this,

-Keep a low profile when in FM
-Reject any trades or ignore whispers from weird IGN(site spammers have random lettering ign's)
-Wear noob cloths when entering FM
-Avoid Channel 1,2 & 3 FM

This game was fucked up the ass from the very beginning. Am I surprised? No. Should you? No.

To prevent this, you could at least place most of your mesos on noob chars/mules..

Thanks for showing that to us, I was actually curious as to how it works. I've been keeping a low profile, being careful when going into the fm, and making sure I don't change channel while I'm in there. But just like this video, it could be done anywhere. This better get fixed quickly...

your mule character safer than your main with all the ip ban mumbo jumbo, seeing that it cant even get on!....

In the video, can someone confirm that after both characters change chanel's, both the hacker and the floating character have the same ign?

After watching it 3 times, I got the impression that one has an "I" after all the "wwwwwww" and the other one has an "1"

From what I see, those characters have the same name. Noone can really "confirm" that the video is true though (video-editing etc.), but from reports, this would look like the way they hack/hacked themselves into other characters.

Unless there is another emergency server check, at least another week or so. MapleSEA does their regular server checks/patchings on Wednesdays.... and wednesdays only. ( this hooha started on thursday... so yeah).

On the plus side the holidays are coming in SG and MY... so hopefully Asiasoft will do something or else all those potiential a cash will not be bought.
