Master/Slave Drive and intstalling Win7
#1
Hey,

So, I have a question.

I'm would be getting a new computer, but without any OS installed. I have a hard drive that has a legit copy of Win7. For ease, I'll call this hard drive HDO (for original). With this new computer, i was thinking about getting 2 HDs. That way, I could take out the smaller of the two drives, which I believe is the slave, which I'll name HDS. Whether or not it is the slave, I was going to take out the smaller one and replace it with HDO. Can I boot the computer, using HDO, bring the Win7 file to HDM (for master), install it on that one, transfer the files from HDO, and then just replace the HDO with HDS? I don't want to buy Win7 if I already have it, but my current computer does not have a DVD burner, so I can't put it on a DVD and just load it when I first start up the computer.

Any thoughts?
