So... working on my assignment, and I have to address this person on youtube. If it was someone who writes on a blog, I would say "the author ..." but how do I formally address someone who talks on youtube?
I've thought of "the youtuber" but it seems too informal....
"the spokesman" is too exaggerating too...

Depends. If you mean a person who speaks as they play a game, a commentary person (or a commentator?). If not, a vlogger sounds accurate.
