Wow if that's true, I guess I'll start playing maplestory 60 years later.

Fail article is fail.
You can't make yourself stop aging. It makes no sense.

Body wears down as it's used. Just like a car, proper maintenance can slow down aging. Enough maintenance can stop it.

However I'm a little skeptical, as the true essence of aging is your cells dividing and your chromosomes getting smaller and smaller.

Yay telomeres!
The article is probably fake. There was a fake BBC article about H1Z1 around the time H1N1 was declared a pandemic, describing how people infected with H1N1, upon death, would "become zombies for up to 4 hours, exhibiting a host of angry emotions and actions." Of course that's not true, and if you searched on the BBC's actual website you couldn't find the article.
I'm guessing this is the same since the English noobs who wrote the article can't even spell their topic of choice correctly. Someone should screenshot the title section of the page and submit it to failblog.

Doesn't DNA replicate?
-is not a bio person-
I was told that aging was caused by gradual exposure to radiation.

Aging is your cells' ability to replicate breaking down. I think it's caused by a gene somewhere, as genetic engineering as expanded the life expectancy of worms by 3-5 fold.

Radiation can cause mutation in DNA that does effect the replication process. In laboratory we used a chemical mutagen called nitrosoguanadine (NTG) in order to cause disruptive mutation in bacteria causing cell death. According to Modern Genetic Analysis, ultraviolet light affects pyrimidine bases such as cytosine and thymine. When exposed to UV light it is possible that two adjoining pyrimidines such as the one used in the following sequence: bold indicates site of mutation.
GCCG
CGGC
Could fuse together causing interference for normal base pairing (the cyclobutane pyrimidine photodimer of one base and the 6-4 photoproduct of the other forms a covalent bond) . This triggers the SOS mechanism in the cell to correct the mistake, causing insertion of incorrect bases across the UV photoproducts. This often causes cytosine to be base paired with thymine, but it is also possible to cause base substitutions, duplications, deletions, and frameshift mutations. Even though mutation does play a part in human health, it is not the primary cause of aging (unless you tan to the point that you resemble a burn victim).
When it comes to cell division, replication of the linear DNA in eukaryotes (humans and animals) proceeds bidirectionally creating a leading strand and a lagging strand. The leading strand heads towards the replication fork while the lagging strand which occurs away from the replication fork must be done in parts (Okazaki fragments). DNA polymerase (an enzyme that synthesizes DNA) attaches to RNA primers for synthesis of the lagging strand. The strands separate once the leading strand has completed synthesis, leaving the lagging strand to be incomplete at the very end. In order to compensate, an enzyme called telomerase adds a guanine rich repeat sequence at the end of this lagging strand known as the telomere. This strand has no known genes or actual function besides to be "sacrificed" during the next phase of replication. After each phase of replication, DNA gets shorter and shorter despite telomere addition. Cancer cells often times exceed the pace of the enzyme telomerase causing abnormal growth that is volatile to the human body. It is hard to describe with only words, so here is a video that helped me visualize the whole process.

Fake or not, it's an excuse to play Maplestory when you're 70.

If computers progress in the next half century as they are now... by the time we're all 70, Maple Story as we know it now will be playable off of a watch. ._.
3D Maple would just be weird, so I don't see it going that far into the future.

Using a linear fit for future predictions is kind of inaccurate.

Why do you need an excuse to play maplestory when you're 70? It's not like you're skipping out on work or really should have anything better to do.
