Horntail problems
#1
Ever since the Pyramid PQ patch, when we get to Horntail, I seem to have a liking of disconnecting/freezing/closing when we are about to kill wings. I have tried changing graphics many different ways, still disconnecting at wings. I don't lag at all during the run. Sometimes the wings disappear, sometimes they don't. Half of the tail disappeared once, too. I have been able to HT perfectly fine up until this new patch. Actually, the first run I went on after the patch I was fine, but every run after that I have d/ced. The wings on that run disappeared, but I didn't disconnect. Thanks in advance for anyones help (:

Possibly related question: was anyone using the pyramid PQ buff during your HT runs? Our HT leader suspects that that can make others disconnect, but I'm inclined to disagree.

I think this may have something to do with the yetis disapearing in the PiPQ too, probably the patch makes some generators work wrong

Uh...when things like that happened to be before, all I did was adjust graphic settings to something lower as soon as HT summons and change it back to high setting asap.

Actually the Pharaoh Jr. Yetis have no real image to speak of when they're just standing, so that's not the same problem as the OP is describing.

hmm does it tell me how to do that in the stickied threads?

Just did another HT run; made it past wings but when arm was like half dead it disappeared and I dced almost instantly after. I guess I should've changed graphics after wings died.

I would update the drivers first (pick option 2 for automatic scanning):
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index5.aspx?lang=en-us

Then try to do the service pack:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...layLang=en

When I go to update the drivers (motherboards and graphics), the motherboard downloaded fine, but the graphics driver tells me "The manufacturer of this system requires that you download the driver for your GPU from their support site." So I went to hp.com to download the driver they gave me (NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150). I found the download spot on hp.com but when I get to the install wizard it says "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit." The automatic check on nvidia.com says my current driver is 97.59, if that means anything. So yea, idk what to do for the graphics driver. Should I just download SP1 or find another graphics driver update (that works)?

I ended up just changing my computer graphics to 16bit and I can HT perfectly fine now. Right click desktop -> personalize -> display settings -> and change Colors to (medium)16bit.
