How do you think maplestory 2 will be?

Well, since i the last press conference nexon said that they are in fact working on maplestory 2, I began to wonder how it would be, sooo i just wanted everyone to tlel me what they think about it

My bets are in revamped jobs and new classes such as a dark wing(they would work like a CK) and probably a new villian being introduced, however i would love it if it took place in a diferent continent and not ossiria

Much better overall skill and quest design. Skill design that could result in different, viable skill and stat builds for the same class (no, I don't consider having to choose between Inferno and Thrust as a Ranger to be an example of different viable builds for the same class). More quests that are actually worth doing. These are from the top of my head, and I'm sure that there are other issues that should be addressed.

Skills trees that depending on how you make them change how the char plays... completely..

They can't even fix the current hacking epidemic in Maple Story 1, and they expect to open MS2 some time in the future? Give me a fcking break. Unless:

a) They improve their security
b) They improve their customer service
c) Characters, classes, levels, transfers from MS1 -> MS2

I doubt I'll be playing when that shit comes out.

I wouldn't mind 2.5d as long as they don't overdo the graphics to the point where it lags.

All i want is a low glitch transition from Maplestory 1 and for it not to be a 9001% different game with no aspect of the original game...

I think you guys are talking about maplestory episode 2, which in MSEA was nothing more then a glorified uber patch, not maplestory-sequel-2, in which case i have nothing to say.

My thoughts are, MS2 might be the end of MS1 right? since the black magician would be the perfect clousure to our currentt chapter, maybe that means Nexon Krea will be finally releasing him around this year. (although again, we still are missing 3 legends).

Er, no. I'm talking about overall. MSEA's hackings, gMS, etc. Of course, the main one is gMS, because I am currently playing it. MSEA is affected too, of course. Why not improve security updates first, before moving onto content? This is the basic of MMOs. Sure, people love content. I got that. But no point in doing that if people are getting hacked left and right, especially if it's not by social-engineering. Which means, the users are at risk, and they can't do shit about it. So of course, logic says "Hey, get better security!"

No, we aare not talking about mapleSEA episode 2, we are talking about the confirmed (but not showed) sequel to maplestory.
On topic: i just hope the graphics change VERY little or dont change t all

I play maple for the 2D if it goes 3D I doubt I'll last more then a week on it. Well if 1 is anything to go by I don't have high expectations.

What I hope to see in MS2 would be that some of the problems with the current game would be fixed, along with new places, skills, graphics.

Some problems MS currently has:
-The damage system wasn't exactly designed for higher levels. It's balanced until Lv.40 or so, but then it starts to get worse. That and defence sucks.
-Movement. With some jobs you have a lot of problems passing trough high or long maps. Being able to run would be great (Games like Wonderking and Latale have much smoother or better movement).
-The skill system allows just about 1 or 2 builds for each class. The stat system also seems to be made just for high damage, doing a blood build or something is pointless in most situations.
-Quests. 90% of the quests that were made until Ariant was released are a waste of time.

If all this was fixed Maple would be a lot better. If Maplestory 2 is going to be made I hope all those things get "fixed".
