Leeching Post Exp Change
#1
All I see are Leech haters "HAHA NOOBS GOT OWNED" and Leechers "OMG FUK NEXON LEECHING IS HORRENDOUSLY SLOW NOW".
How fast is Leeching? 40-60 -> 20-80, would that halve the exp the leecher gets in all conditions? :x
I was under the impression that it was not game breaking fast, but comparable to normal training.

it really depends on how fast the job trains. i was trying to train my wk at the rate of around 20-25% an hour with 4x at 7x. then i tried using my bishop leeching @ wolf spiders and i get 5 lvls in 4 hours......so.......it's still faster than normal training but it really depends on the job

i dont like leeching, i think that leeching is just for lazy people who dont want to know how to use their job and die all the time Smile

5% an hour on 1x? At level 70-80? You're doing something wrong....
But 5 levels in 4 hours isn't slow either....

i wasnt sure about the percent per hour, solo, but i just remembered that leech was faster (and i was soloing at site, where to spawn is decent and it is one-platform map)

At 80, leeching at Harps with a 1hitting 12x Bishop yielded about 60% per hour on 4x.

Let's see if I did this math right.
For a leecher's level a and a bishop/mage's level b, the exp leeched with the old formula would be:

Since the 0.4 just changed to 0.2(?), leeching now is always half as fast as it use to be?

I think leeching is Okies/Good, since I'm the one selling leech.

I'm anti leech but i think it's...

the BASE EXP is halved however take the base and multiply it by Your level divided by the your "Bishops" level

Your level = A
Bishops Level = B

Monster exp * 0.2 * (A/B) = The EXP you should get
i think..

so boss leeching might be worth it but... that's a big might...

get yourself some 2x cards and some family rep i suppose

BF leech (regular or full exp) is still efficient in early lvls. As for leeching itself, I believe half as fast is a hard kick in the balls for many. Self-leeching isn't damaged much though, free exp > no exp at all, however slow it may be.

Plus, with HS you'll want to have a passive leecher to improve your EXP gain when solo training anyway.

116>>>120 = 8 hours of 2x, which about 7 hours straight was on 4x with the new exp system. Easily one of the longest nights in my maple life, but horribly slow as well. Killer was a 2 hitting (skeles) bishop.

And to cover the "eww you leeched" people. Its not exactly easy training when you DC whenever Energy Charge expires. kthnxbai!

I admit that training was fun, back in the 1-100 days anyways. I loved training at Squids from mid 70's til 100, no effing joke here. I loved going on my Hermit just to go to Squids. I find it amusing and fun to train there. After 100, it all went downhill. Training was painful and boring. Though I can't say leeching is any better, because it makes the game more boring, yet I waste less money on potions. I haven't played since 133, all I've been doing is upgrading my gear. Nothing is wrong with regular training, but after a certain level, it just gets boring and tedious. As for leeching, it's always boring.

I find it fun to train on a friend's Drk at Oblivion 4 despite the 1.2%/hr EXP gain. I've played a Drk for eternities so you can't really say it's a new-toy effect, it just happens to be fun.

Old -> 20% damage split, 80% level split
New -> 60% damage split, 40% level split

Since leechers deal no damage (by definition), all their EXP comes from the level split, so the amount of EXP gained is exactly halved.
