Can love binding spell be removed

I would like to ask this for the wiccans out there, i have a friend who 12 yrs ago had a love binding spell put on him by an ex, and i think he said it might have been part of it, but the girl disappeared after a while and now he told me last night about what happened, and he thinks the spell went wrong is there a way that it can be removed? I would love to help him out and spare him any more trouble in life because of it. Thank you all!!

there aint such thing as love spells or wichcraft, so your friend is fine, just a little crazy perhaps.
