I think it's a really good commercial. At least it's better than, "Why do you got snails on your nipples?" -- "Because I can, and it's free -- MAPLESTORYYYYYYYY".

I like the animation of this.
I like the presentation of the story.
I like the voice, and the way they presented the ~excitement~ of the story.
The pronunciation at first startled me, but again, toMAYTOE and toMAHTO.


I hate the gameplay vids.
-They do not show any of the lovely combo features. Much less the speed Aran's grand contrast to other warrior classes.
-It looks like who ever was playing was just spamming ONE SKILL the whole time.
-They showed incorrect monsters in incorrect areas giving the wrong idea about the game itself. I mean, Griffey in Ariant, really?
-They did not show social aspects of maple, which IMO, is a HUGE part of. But I guess when you're producing a commercial you don't wanna show the actual community with smegas and all. [/COLOR]

Based on 알안 I would say they pronounced it as intended. Korean characters more or less have a set pronunciation, I think.

for me A always pronounce with an aaaaa. and i always pronounced it the way the video did. that's how it suppose to pronounce. and again, they're the maker of the name and the game, they "created" the name, so they know how to pronounce it right.

It was 6AM when I posted this, so I saw the video which was like the Aran trailer and thought it was just GMS' Aran Trailer, but instead it's an entirely new commercial. Well, not entirely new as they copied most of the stuff from KMS (like music and some scenes), but whatever..

Obviously better than the old commercials bust still.. Blue Kentauruses and Griffey in Ariant? GM Summoning bag, much? Why couldn't they just make a video of this guy fighting against Griffey IN ITS NORMAL PLACE? As fallenangls said, they gave a wrong impression of the game. Meh.

I once was at a movie and the maple story comercial came on and i was embarrassed as hell.
