Dragon Ball Online

Has anyone checked this stuff out yet? It seems very interesting to me. Apparently Korea and Japan have been working together on the online game for Dragon Ball and apparently Korea is doing a beta for the game right now and soon it'll start spreading to other countries, starting with Japan, then maybe the United States. I'm really looking forward to this game! I've been a HUGE Dragon Ball fan ever since I was a little kid and have been looking for a good game to play that deals wth Dragon Ball other than the basic fighting games that come out every couple of years.

Dragon Ball Online (ドラゴンボールオンライン, Doragon Bōru Onrain, Korean: 드래곤볼 온라인 (officially abbreviated as DBO) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game being developed simultaneously in Japan and South Korea by NTL, set in the Dragon Ball universe, first introduced by the Dragon Ball Japanese manga in 1984. Dragon Ball Online takes place on Earth, 216 years after the events at the conclusion of the Dragon Ball manga series. A beta testing of Dragon Ball Online was initially announced to begin in South Korea during the summer of 2007 with a Japanese beta to soon follow,[1] but has been delayed and is currently slated for the second half of 2009. [2] In March 2009, it was announced that TBWA\Korea obtained the marketing rights for Dragon Ball Online and would run a full-scale marketing campaign from April to August 2009.[3]

Series creator Akira Toriyama has a great deal of creative control over the project, both contributing to and supervising the story and art design, including character and location arrangements.[4] It has been stated that Toriyama has been working on character designs for this project for the last five years.[2]

Of course, you know me! I'm going to jump at the Japanese version at the very first chance I get get! I'm really looking forward to this game and I'm really hoping this turns out great! Maybe this game will be the one that actually turns me away from MapleStory finally.

I'm jumping at Dragon Ball Online, or what will be known as DBO the moment it comes out in America. You're lucky you get to play the Japanese version in the future, for I'm 110% sure the original place of Dragon Ball would give the most awesome experience.

It looks good. I hope they will have a controller option. I'll definitely join you Justin when it comes out in beta in Japan.

when is it comin out for north america? hope my shitty computer can run this game lmao. and in the trailer, whos that guy that looks like goku wearing the black gloves o_o

There's no information on a North American version yet. I assume the Japanese version will be out within 3 months of the Korean version's release, then the North American version will probably be from 6 months ~ 1 year after the Japanese version's release.

I think I just died with happiness. It looks great. It's gonna take forever to come out in English D: and well be available to Australia </3 but still Oh my god! Battle alongside Goku. Wooowwww looks awesome.
