Disclaimer: I don't care if people doesn't like or enjoy competitive Smash, I do. That's all that matters. I will disregard all comments in here unless they are relevant to the topic or the videos. Hate-comments will most likely be ignored unless there's logic involved in it. I figure it's time I upload at least some videos. It's been a while since I even recorded anything. K, gonna be honest here, I do not:

a) Wave Dash
b) Perform Jab2Rest combos since I'm not that 1337 yet
c) care about you and your "competitive = glitchaaaang" or "loltourneyf'gs" posts.

Information:

I've been playing SSBM for a good 4-5 years. I originally mained Young Link when I played it casually, then from there, went to Fox. From that point on, I played it competitively. After 4 years or so, I got tired of playing SPACEANIMUUULZ so I decided for a change of pace, thus, came Jigs. My screenname on SSBM is —KEN (not to be mistaken for the famous "KEN" in Socal). I don't really WaveDash in matches because I find it pretty useless to begin with, and if I do use it, people peach and whine, saying that I 'hack', so I just don't bother. -shrugs-

Other than that, I play Smash weekly.

Competitive Brawl isn't bad, but it's not as refined as Melee, imo. If I play Brawl (which is almost never), I play it casually like everyone else. Brawl IS fun though. Brawl and Melee are both pretty awesome when you're drunk and you're laughing at everything you're doing instead of attempting to win.

A lot of the broken characters were nerfed, causing many competitive players to BAWWWWWWWW.

With Melee, overall, the pace of battles are just significantly faster. People would probably mock me and say I'm only defending Melee because of "LOLWavedash" but no, Melee just gives you more control over your movements. They really toned down a lot of characters when they made Brawl, Jigs sucks ass in Brawl. Fox is terrible.. like, absolutely horrendous.. seeing a person playing Fox in Brawl just makes me want to stab myself...

And Brawl removed shffl, I think. You can't do a short-hop/fast-fall-L cancel combo anymore, I think. It's exactly as written, it's a controlled short-hop. I did a couple during my match against my brother.

You can't SHFFL in Brawl because there's no such thing as L-Canceling in Brawl.
If you're not playing Brawl+ and you're thinking competitively, go kill yourself.

Fox is not terrible.

Fox needs to stop wasting double jumps. I saw one moment where I swear you would have tried to Jump Cancel Shine him if he didn't hit you on the fall. Stop jumping straight up. BAir. Shield grab. Your Shine cancels are a bit off. Are you using Up or X/Y? Never get off the edge against Jigglypuff. If he were more competent, you wouldn't be able to get back up, especially with your poorly aimed Fox Fires.
Jiggles needs to learn how to Wall better, and Shield Grab. There were plenty of opportunities when you Aerial-ed that he could have shield grabbed you to death, but he didn't.
Learn to DI better too. None of this straight up and down garbage. If he knew how to Rest Combo...

Jigs sucks ass in Brawl.

Meh, I can play a pretty good Jig even in Brawl. Jigs was nerfed to hell, but if you're used to Melee Jigs it isn't too hard tuning into Brawl Jig mode. I play Jig differently in Brawl than I do in Melee.

td;lr from my message for fox. Get better techskill. That was almost painful to watch as a falco/fox main.

Don't underlook wavedash simply because people mock you or anything. Anything you know can be of use in a competitive game as useless as it may be. As long as it isn't banned that is.

And please, no brawl vs melee discussion. It gets really old.
