Arans awesome storyline.

So my brothers aran got to 74 in a few days and he went to ellin forest to do Full swing skill quest.

Spoilers :

- Ellins time is months after arans curse.
- People from the present cannot take anything from the past.
- Athena pierce is a fairy who can live for centuries.
- The meeting with aran in ellin.. she still remembers it till now(100+ years from ellins time to the present even though it was just moments ago).
- The letter that athena wanted to give aran(he couldnt take it in ellin because peole from different time zones cannot make physical contact) for centuries, said, 'Protect the Seal stone of Erev'.
- Aran only got the letter in the present.

So, Ereve existed hundreds of years already ? If so, how many queens are there already ? the current queen is only a teenager...
And when did sharenian happen ? before or after the heroes battle against the black wizard ?

I guessing after. Seems like Sharenion is another abandoned plot point though.

The plot of Maple Story reminds me of Lord of the Rings. Evil lord trying to conquer the world, gets beaten by heroes. Evil lord is back and the new generation have to mount their own defense, plus a character who has lived to see both (Elrond/Athena).

I'm still quite impressed with the story though, now if only the adventurers had a part to play...

I'd say Adventurers play the part they should play. Random encounters.
IMO giving Adventurers a backstory would make them less adventury :f6:
They're just the people who want to train themselves, their skills and (maybe) help where they feel it's needed.
The random stranger from nowhere that fends off a bad guy for you and then gives you that friendly little smile to let you know that payment isn't required and then disappearing into the streets/crowd/sunset/alleyway/shadows.

It's very likely that Queen of Ereve is also a magical being that can live for thousands of years.

That's one of the main reasons I'm indeed going to make an Aran, and there's a possibility I will make it my new main character.

It was also said in the beginning Cygnus quests that Ereve was floating free around the world for a long time but to combat the rising power of the Black Magician, it's stationary for the moment to allow new Knight recruits.

Cause that's a lot of work and I'm very busy right now lol.

MapleStory has been borrowing or modifying themes from popular stories for a while. LoTR is one source, with Athena Pierce and alleged Black Magician as the unseen villain, and Cygnus, Shinsoo, and Ereve borrow themes from The Neverending Story. With the Evan job borrowing themes from Eragon, I don't see this trend ending anytime soon.
