I don't like them at all. Around here, guys with their ears pierced are either scene faggots or TUFF GUY WITH A DIAMOND IN EACH EAR YEA SON. Or black people, since they can obviously pull off anything.
I've never met any Ryans in real life. Most people can't pull stuff like that off anyway. You're a one-of-a-kind, bro.
Nothing wrong with piercings, unless you're putting them on your plantain. Then you're just weird. <_< A lot of black, asians, and some white guys I know has piercings. Depends on the type of piercing though. If it's gauges, that's really common, but uhh... I'm not really into sh't like that. I have a pair of golden circle-shaped earrings at home that I bought a while back, I haven't gotten my ears pierced yet, but I'm doing so eventually. If you have more than 3 or so piercings, as a guy, you may be classified as gay or girly though, last I checked. But I'm not one to judge.
Most I'm doing is one earring per ear, that's it. I'm not piercing my chin, tongue, or anything else.
The way I see it, you're not given a choice over what you look like at birth, and other than weight-control, haircuts, and plastic surgery, you'd be pretty much stuck with it. Body modification allows for a wee bit of control over your appearance (tattoos, piercings, scarification, etc.), and to me, that little bit goes a long way in terms of fulfilling a healthy self-appearance.
Self-indulgence to follow
I have a pair of 3/4" lobe piercings with 6g's right next to them, two 14g tragi, two 14g upper cartilages, one 4g septum, two 12g cheeks, two 12g nipples, and one 12g frenum.
In the past, I've had two 12g lip piercings, one 10g labret, one 14g lowbret, and two 14g eyebrow piercings.
My next will be two 14g vertical lowbret piercings and two philtrum piercings (one 12g and one 14g) or one 12g philtrum and two 14g monroes. Cannot decide for the life of me.

It's interesting reading some replies on here. I know some people that wouldn't ever pierce any part of their body either because they are religious, or they don't want to physically harm to alter their body in any way. Which, I'm okay with that.

I would never get any, and I don't like when guys get a lot of them. I don't mind seeing one in the ear or something (still stupid), but when it's multiple piercings... Disgusting. I don't like when females get a lot, either. Few on the ears, at most, and maybe an eyebrow piercing or something (pushing it). Otherwise, disgusting.
i had 2 piercings in my eyebrow back in college, i liked them and i liked how they looked. i dont mind piercings or tattos as long as it isnt something crazy like 4 lip ones or something.
people that discriminate against them just live in a small world.
Is it sad that I came in here expecting stuff about Marksmen? ;_;
I think piercings anywhere but ears look ugly. Even ear piercings can be ugly depending on your outfit... :|

None on guys. Sorry Ryan.
It is just weird. That kind of thing should be reserved for girls.
I personally don't see any use in them. They don't really make a fashion statement.
No offense taken. While I don't exactly understand reactions of disgust to them, I don't believe them to be inherently wrong. It's all based on opinion.
Tattoos and piercings make me happy just as a haircut might make someone else. It all falls under the idea of "looking good naked", to me. They're for no one other than myself, and that's a sentiment shared by many enthusiasts who I've met. I doubt it's a phase I'm going through as I've been interested in them ever since I went to my first hardcore show (nearly a decade ago).
By next summer, I'ma start apprenticeship as a piercer. It'll give me something to do during breaks when I start teaching. I know it's a job that usually won't go anywhere, but if silly things such as piercings made me happy growing up, it'd be nice to be able to do the same for some other kids.
I dislike most piercings. The only ones I don't mind, or like, are gauged ears (must be a small gauge!) or regular ear piercings and belly button piercings (on girls).

See, the reason I dislike them is just because no one in my family has ever had one. I also was brought up in a way that made them seem connected to evil-ness. On girls, it's a different story, but I still don't like them on guys. Not saying anyone should pull them out once they have had them, not at all. I just haven't seen anyone that I think they look good on. Possibly Ryan. Piercing other kids, huh?
