2012 now 2208!?

As i have heared from sevaral people and the news our fears/thaughts about 2012 are wrong! scientists and other people have re-looked at the Mayan Calender and saw a forgotten spot. They found out that 'The end of the world' wasnt going to be in 2012 but in 2208!

So nothing to worry about : )

The world isn't going to end in 2208, and it's certainly not going to end in 2012. Every time one of these "doom years" passes, people will think up another one until it, too, passes. Repeat forever.

I honestly hope some people commit suicide because of 2012. I can't believe there's so much idiocy surrounding it.

I think if you count all the doomsday prophecies, the universe has already been destroyed 100 times in the last century. But hey, nothing beats preparing for the inevitable in your cozy bunker in rural Montana.

I think if you count all the doomsday prophecies, the universe has already been destroyed 100 times in the last century.

Quantum Theory states that everytime a decision is made, an alternative universe is created. When you picked you nose in 3rd grade, that July 4th and 3:57 PM, there's a universe where you didn't.
As such, anything that could have happened did. So the universe has been destroyed many times in the past 100 years- just not ours.

current life expectency for us is about 100 years, and advances in cell regeneration, aging slowing/reversing, and health are improving rapidly, so it's not too far fetched to think we'll live to see 2208.
