Did you enjoy this patch?
#1
Since it's been a while since the patch has come out and the next patch is just around the corner I am sure most people have already finished what Nexon added.

I myself thought it was an alright patch overall. Haunted House 2 was okay even though it was short lived and Malaysia was a bit lack-luster because of the limited amount of quests and how annoying they were. The best part of this patch however in my opinion even though I haven't done it a lot is Balrog, for the same reason a lot of people find this boss annoying is the same reason I enjoy it. Everyone is basically on the same level.

Anyway, what are your opinions on this patch?

Hated it.
If you weren't able to kill newts, on for the first little bit of the patch, level 130+, or live on the other side of the world, you were forced to buy a witch's belt pretty much. And meso buyers basically wiped the floor with normal players pink scroll/white scroll wise, inflating them to well above what they're worth.

I liked this patch.

I find Scarly and Tigger to be really fun, despite the quests being annoying as hell. The fact that they put the channels as 10, 12, and 13, skipping 11 for some reason is a little weird. I also dislike that after they finally give us minidungeons for skeles and newties, allowing us to not be surrounded by leechers, they give Galloperas, which is what everyone won't shut up about now.

HH2 sucked. Horrible storyline, insane difficulty to get dolls after they fixed the multi-summon glitch, and quests that made a lot of annoyance. The new chimney is cool though, since I like bouncing. I only touched this for the chair.

Gold Richie was awesome, I love the chairs. Heart The belt scrolls thing kinda sucked though.

The Witches Belts I found tolerable, because I have been able to get 200 tokens a day just killing Seruf or Tae Roon, neither of which I ever seem to need to fight others for. I also like the 40 att pots, but they take way too much work for me to be able to make them, since I'm spending all my time just trying to make as much money off selling witch's belt scrolls.

The Witches Tower JQ was fun. I can't even do the first stage of normal that well because of the speed of the chocolate, but I get to halfway through the 2nd stage on hard, and then I screw up EVERY TIME. The fact that all you get out of this is a really cool outfit that expires is what sucks.

Balrog is my absolute favorite, but I can't ever get enough people who want to do it, because everyone just assumes that he's not even worth it because he doesn't drop too many good things. Frown

All in all, I'm more concerned with getting those 8 slot gloves next patch. Screw the 24 stat helms other than for looks.

Meh, the patch was okay. i was excited that we'd get a nice HH storyline, and possibly expansion to it that was actually more than just a handful of maps, but I wasn't too devastated when I saw the story was horrible. I do like the Olivia chair though. A chair that gives MP and is obtainable from a quest? Yes, very melon. Now I can heal my MP when I take 5 minute grind breaks for food and such.

I agree with what Typhoon said about the Witch belts. Nexon should have just made them drop from everything at a rare rate, so it's actually pretty fair for everyone to get them. Or, rather, they should have checked to make sure only bosses dropped them in the first place. If they hadn't released the patch with that glitch, then there wouldn't be nearly as many belts around as there are now.

I actually haven't checked out the newer maps though. There was nothing too interesting to me there, so I won't count that.

Gold Richie, I didn't get much out of since I don't have any erasers to get his chair. Not complaining over that, the idea was pretty cool. Trade in items that were pretty useless for chairs. What I did try out from his event was his pig hunting thing. Though, I really didn't get much from it so stopped after a few tries. I blame my own bad luck for that. Tongue1

What I really liked about this patch is the stuff that came bundled in with the patch. We don't have them yet, but just having them in the data gives us a fairly nice idea of what we can eventually expect to see in the (hopefully) near future.

Come now guys, we've certainly had worse patches than this. Even if you didn't like it, you have to admit it was better than "LOL FISHINGSPIRIT~"

I enjoyed it.

Malaysia and all of its quests was a lot of fun. I wish it had more. I love getting new areas like that. The Haunted Mansion this year had a decent quest line, too. I had friends to fight Olivia with daily, but she was way too easy. That was the disappointing part.

I couldn't care less about the Witch Belts. I wasn't able to get on until after the fix patch, so I didn't get to kill Newties for one. Then I just decided I didn't want one at all. My Black Belt is way more awesome. I love the witch potions. I've been able to make a ton of them and level some mules I never thought I would. The witch JQ is HELL. I hate JQs, and these are the worst I've ever done. I gave up the idea of getting the two related quests done after wasting hours of stress.

Don't care about Gold Richie, really. I traded some erasers and got a cool new chair. The compass thing I've only done a few times and never gotten anything good. I really hate that Belt scrolls aren't more common.

I've never fought Balrog, Scarlion or Targa yet.

My favorite thing about the patch was the change to Dawn Warrior's Soul Driver. My DW was dead to me after a few levels outside of Roids. I couldn't endure leaving an insanely fun place (I stayed until 86) for boring training spots like Stormbreakers. By 90, with the thought of training in boring spots and not being able to spend SP for 10 levels, I quit playing her altogether. The new Soul Driver was more than enough motivation to have fun again. Now I have more fun spots, and I'll be getting her to 120 before long.

Gold Richie was a bit fun considering it gave me few scrolls for mah black belt to improve.

Malaysia I don't have much to say about. The hats are meh, if I ever go on a run myself with pals or whatever and get one free I'll take it but I'm not gonna pay for it. Galloperas I would love if it wasn't completely overrun by DWs spamming their new spammable SD and leechers.

Witch Event is k. I didn't bother with the overall/hat from the JQ but the attack potions are nice. I haven't even bothered with the belt, I'll just get the attack belt from Pyramid and save myself the KS wars. My new hat and broomstick are cool I guess.

Gold Richie I don't care about at all.

HH2 I got the chair and that was that.

I LOVE Balrog, though. Fighting a cool boss where almost everyone is on an even playing field is awesome. I always enjoy myself there, even without drops, the experience is just generally fun to me.

Malaysia: It's pretty nice, new training spots are always ok, but the fact that leechers and regular ultimate spammers took over Galloperas isn't that great.

Witch Event: Didn't do anything with it, and like NotAwesome I'll just wait until Pyramid comes out for that 1 atk belt. Didn't even attempt the JQ as I knew all I would get was more stress.

Gold Richie: Got a few belt scrolls and other stuff, nothing special really. I don't have erasers so I didn't get any chairs (not that I like chairs anyway).

HH2:: Dolls were a pain to get, but I got like 50% of exp just by messing around.

Balrog: I didn't get to try it yet, but it seems like a fun boss to me, and the concept is great.

Skill "updates": Both hate and love. Storm Break went from awesome to worthless, while Wind Piercing got even better. I'm happy for my Dawn Warrior friends though, but not being able to use Storm Break certainly limits my training options (as just using Strafe at Windraiders isn't worth it).

Overall, a nice patch, but it could've been better.

Didn't really like the patch content except for Scarlion/Targa and permanent Cash Shop clothing. ~

Not really. It seemed like a really great patch until it stopped offering anything after I got my chair.

Twas alright.

Malaysia was really the only good thing about it all. More content = <3333

Gold Richie made me want to punch someone through a wall. Stop giving out chairs to everyone and their mothers!

HH2's story just made me hate it. Olivia was also gay, having to organize competent people just to kill a mediocre boss...funfun.

Balrog will hopefully be better later. Right now it seems to be a bunch of idiots.

Witch Event has nothing that I need nor care for, and hunting area bosses has become a pain.

The Skill Updates don't effect me at all.

....Actually, now that I think about it, I hated this patch. Way less than I had expected. Hopefully Astaroth will be better.

For me I was always fascinated by the moon star chair. It's been around 2 year and all 3 ways to get it(itcg, maple gem, perion gacha) never get me squat. This goldrich event finally gave me the chance on my first shot Biggrin
Scarlion was fun.
Targa was a challenge, but also fun.
HH2 was boring, I'm happy for the chair though.
Balrog pq I still want to do so bad. My first time we killed it with 10 seconds left. Sadly I left the bonus since the 10 seconds went through to bonus too, we got kicked out.
Witch JQ was terrible, with no targa boss, it's a waste of time.

Meh, it was just another patch to me. I was glad to see people can finally get MW 30, but all this with the belts was a bit much with the ks'ing and boss farmers. Besides that, everything went as they normally do. I didn't get to check out Barlog or Scar/Tar, so I can't say much on that

Malaysia's quests were annoying. I still have yet to go on a Scarlion/Targa run. :f6:

HH2 was short, and had crappy plot, and annoying for the 3 times every 24hrs Olivia Boss fight. I am happy that they got rid of the whole kicked out of the mansion if you change channel crap.

Balrog, have yet to fight him. He does sound like lots of fun, though! Hopefully this week I can fight him..
;_;

Witch Tower Jump Quest is a nuisance because of the timer and falling makes you fail. The fact that the Pink Bean equips expire makes it suck. Oh well, +2 event quests aren't so bad for a bit of hair pulled out.

Witch Event is lame, I can't even find a boss anymore. It's sad how everyone's hogging the bosses. But the recipes aren't so bad since you can level up a lvl 11 pretty dang fast with them! The Witch Belts are kinda pointless to me. Stat belts FTW! Mad

Gold Richie.. eh. I guess the Belt scrolls are okay, along with the chairs. Sorta lame since the Erasers are disappearing fast.

Overall, I the patch was okay. Not great, not terrible, just average.

This was an O.K patch, the Halloween quests were decent, and that's just about what I did this patch

Not really any content for a newbie like me, so it was meh.

I didn't even bother playing any of the new content because most of it is lame. I only got on to buy some of the exclusive permanent items that came out, like the Broom and hat. Other than that, Attack belts are for the insanely rich, HH2 doesn't really interest me, Scarlion/Targa; I can't do them, Tower JQ sucks because items aren't permenant, and Balrog seems more annoying than fun due to not being able to use 3rd/4th job skills.

Malaysia: Seems like a fun area. I did a bit of questing there, but not much. There are some potential spots to train at, and apparently another place for leechers. Looks like it could've been a good spot to train an Aran in the future. Looking forward to trying the new bosses out later.

Witch Event: Made an awesome belt from hunting bosses, made some really good belts the same way as well, sold them for a ton of mesos. Hunting area bosses can be a bit stressful at times, but I get by pretty well and rarely ever KS anyone. Surprisingly I even made some friends (3) hunting area bosses - it almost seems paridoxical, but hey whatever I'm not complaining xD. The new potions are cheap and mighty, and even helped influence me to start a little pre-dk dude who reached 27 in a pretty short time with the boss etcs I've randomly collected during the patch.

Gold Richie: Belt scrolls would've been great if the belts themselves didn't become useless for anything but HP washing and mages when compared to a decent attack belt (4+). The pendant is a terrific boost in exp (makes 4x into 5.2x if you plan ahead), and the chair event/erasers have gotten me 3 cool new chairs, as well as a nice profit from reselling erasers.

HH2: I'd probably call it disappointing if I got to experience the original storyline and actually set expectations. The storyline was brief and uninvolved, and the boss was pretty well-designed despite being weak and missing some hit frames. The chair is awesome, even if it takes a while to get now that the glitch was fixed.

Balrog: Haven't been there yet. Sounds like it'll be fun to try out. Do we have bain crossbows added to the drop list from him or in our data at all?

Gacha box event: It made scrolling a perfect crossbow an achievable possibility, if still extremely expensive and unlikely. I also managed to get/pass MW30 from the 12 or so boxes I decided to open, so unlike past gacha box events I'm actually very grateful for this one.

Overall: Terrific patch. It created a ton of complainers due to the whole witch belt situation, but it'll pass and be mostly forgotten eventually.

This patch broke game balance due to Nexon editing Typhons into Banphons again.

Malaysia: It sure is a nice new location, especially the addition of Targa and Scarlion. I finally have a chance to get a helm as my computer (and internet connection) completely cannot handle zakum. I like doing quests, so the new quests certainly helped me gain some %s. Cool

Witch Tower JQ: I don't like JQ, so after a few tries on the hard mode and knowing that the Pink Bean hat is not permanent, I totally skipped that.

Witch's special brew: I LOVE IT! Heart I had the thought of making a new gunslinger for a long time, and this completely helped me a lot. Made a slinger from level 11-34 (and continuing) completely off from making the brews. Not to mention the +40atk itself is very attractive.

Witch belts: Didn't know about the Newties glitch until like 30mins before the emergency patch, so didn't get to make some belts. Personally I don't think I will make one myself, so I'll be sticking to a black belt.

Gold Richie: It's an okay event. I'm not a chair collector, so that didn't really attract me much. The gold eggs are pretty nice though. Got a few belt 100% scrolls, so I'll probably upgrade my belt a bit.

HH2: The Olivia chair is kinda cool, but the storyline completely does not make any sense to me. The new haunted house maps are pretty nice, except the fact that Jesters have a really bad exp/HP ratio.

Balrog: Didn't get a chance to fight him yet, but I heard it's a nice boss to fight with.

Gacha box event: Did 2 gold boxes, got a level 80 sword and rush 30. Might try my luck again probably next week. I'll see how it goes.

Permanent NX: If only there are permanent pet equips, then it would be PERFECT. I love my permanent invisible cape and hat and frameless glasses though. Glitter

Other changes: The change in Blessing of the Fairy is really nice, and with the addition to the storm break change, I finally have a good reason to quit my WA. Shine

I absolutly HATE the family rep change. Now I can't even move my characters around as once a junior leaves the family, his senior loses rep. My friend's characters have already outlevelled mine for like 8 levels, and because of this we just have to stick with the reduced rep received.

Typhon map ban... Luckily I don't train at Typhons anymore, so that did not affect me much. However I do hope that they can change it back. Oh and CWKPQ glitch... I got my pendent a few weeks before the patch so it didn't affect me as well, but it's really inconvenient for those who wish to get one.

CS reward after reaching certain levels... That was kinda nice. I got 2 new emotions so that was quite fun, especially doing the same face with my friend over and over again.

Overall, I find this patch okay. If there are less glitches and unfair changes, it would be a lot better.
