Gachapon Boxes: could it be that..

.. they lowered the nice items' chance of coming out from Gachapon Boxes after the first week of their release?

A friend made me think about this.

So, Gachapon Boxes are released and people start opening them. Then, they start finding nice items inside them, and more and more people keep buying keys.

After the few days of "godly" chances for the Gachapon boxes, they lower the chance for the nice items A LOT. People, thinking that the chances are still the same, keep buying tons of keys and opening them. They start finding more and more bad items inside them, but they keep buying keys thinking they're just being unlucky, without knowing that NEXON lowered the chances. If they said they did, less people would buy the keys and that'd mean less money for them.

So, the first day I decided to open some, about 10 or less. I found a 50% Claw for ATK, which I sold for 1 billion mesos, then a 50% Dagger ATK, and some other nice stuff.
This week, after receiving some money from parents as a gift, I decided to spend them on NX, and opened around 100 boxes.

Lots. Of. Crap. Equips. And. Skillbooks.

I mean, some of them weren't really CRAP, but yeah, not anything worth over 60m. It's a lot, I know, but compared to the 50% scrolls it's nothing.
So, this can only mean three things:

1. I got REALLY unlucky when I opened the boxes for the second time

2. I got REALLY lucky when I opened the 10 boxes in the first week

3. NEXON changed the rates without noticing people (maybe the high scroll rates were a bug?)

I don't know what to think about this. I'm just kind of upset I spent all that money without even getting a chair, a 50% scroll or a chaos/white scroll. All the boxes were gold ones, anyway.
I spent the 1 billion for a 6 atk belt (850m) which I then hammered and scrolled twice with two belt scrolls (around 100m each). In the end I got a 7 atk belt, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER AT ALL SO LET'S STAY ON TOPIC. :f6:

I just wanted to say that I expected to make the money back with all those boxes, but I guess I was wrong. Now I'm left with a lot of crap and I can barely make 200m with all that.

Three word: I. Got. Gachapowned.

i dont think they lowered it. It was crap the first week for a lot of people i know. Including me.

Really strange, because.. well, getting two 50%s out of 10 boxes and getting none out of 100 really is madness.

Perhaps it was just that as a total, more boxes were being opened, so it <seemed> like it was spitting out more good stuff while in reality, it was only that both more good stuff and junk was being spit out at the same time.

It was just crap overall. All i got was fracking crappy ass equips, and TT20. Absolutely the worst fucking event ive ever paid money for. Nexon should feel bad about their rates with this event.

I opened boxes 4 times.

2 Times before SC, 10 Boxes Each.

I got 2 Shinsoo Chairs, 1 WS, 3 50% Scrolls, 1 TT30, 1 SE 20. Rest Junk.

2 Times after SC, 20 Boxes Each.

1 TT 30, 1 C-ilbi forging manual. Umm. Thats it. <--- Umm wtp.

I opened 2 like 2 or 3 days ago and got MW20 and TT 20.... I think I got lucky.

I opened 10 boxes and got a 50% scroll for One handed swoed for att, a chaos scroll, and an MW20(i still have the 50% scroll if you want an "SS")... I think it's all luck dude...

I only opened one gold box - Blizz 20.

My friend got Gen 30, Glove Att 50%, Claw Att 50%, and MW 20 out of 5 boxes in total. It's all luck man.

Ive sold well over 800 keys so far and its all random. Ive seen ppl get really lucky and VERY unlucky. Ive been selling since day 1 and there has been no 'time' when ppl were luckier than other 'times' as far as I can see.

I also think it's luck. I spent about $40 on keys and the only good thing I got was 1 Shinsoo Chair. My boyfriend on the other hand, who spent about the same amount, got 2 pink scrolls and 2 maple hero 20s.

Spent about $30 week 1 and got nothing but skillbooks and crap equips. Went half and half with gold and silvers. Didn't bother after that. Not sure why I bothered, my luck is horrible.

I'm glad I havent tried any boxes.

It isnt surprising really since they said there were "hundreds" of items one could get in this gachabox event.

OK, so am I the only one that is bothered by the fact that the gold boxes went from being hard to find before to being easy to find, but the keys needed to open them increased by 300 NX?

I decided to try out the Gacha Boxes, and let's see how much I've done.



Yeah, the Gacha Boxes do suck right now. Nothing good. And the item I got from the silver box, is a Level 20 Triple Throw Mastery Book!

When I bought 1 gold key, all I got was a Tao of Harmony. Then again, it was only 1 box that I opened.

Assuming you sold it for a 1k nx = 9m mesos rate
You've made about 7.2billion mesos

now my real question, was it worth it spending 1440 dollars for some virtual money?

i can see the diff since day 1 til now, since the last server check with the first set of perma items i noticed that rare items on boxes are REALLY rare right now, is not about how many boxes you open or how lucky / unlucky you are. on FM (Windia) you could find before on first week several books and ws / chaos, price went down really fast, i managed to get really good stuff out of it. now is almost impossible, the prices went up again that dont really seems we are having a box event going on, MW 30 was 1b, lowest for 800m now is ranging for 1.3 ~1.5b, and you think is a high price? well try find one, i am using owl past 2 days and theres none on FM. so ya i am sure nexon changed the rates of boxes, what i can say it can be a good thing for market, but i am sure is bad for ppl wasting NX thinking they will get good stuff. lets see what is going on after server check tonight (better chance to get PB anyone?... ops i mean MW)

It's HeroTex. He didn't actually buy all of that NX. He gets all that money from MTS, merchanting, and selling of WoW gold.

So many people seem to have it in for Nexon these days. They aren't that greedy you guys. Come on now.
