Oh god, seriously. It struck me as odd at first, that I knew what all of those terms meant (when written in English, at least) without ever needing to consciously memorize them. If only classes, and the terms I need to memorize for those classes, were as relevant to my interests.

All of those except josei and mangaka are useless in Japanese, unless you're speaking to a psychopath or an lolotaku (neko being excluded, since it's a real word for an animal).


How did josei and mangaka come up as 'strange Japanese words?' Josei is Japanese for female and mangaka is a real word for a comic. Wikipedia has a weird list. Then again, it's understandable, since Wikipedia can be edited by ANYONE.
