Yes, you can still play while in most countries, afaik. As a matter of fact, I tried it awhile back to see what MSEA is like..

Do you have an account?

I also have to warn you of the delay lag. It's terrible.

Yeah i just created an account. For the lag, i'll go to a less populated server like delphinus to have the less lag possible.

It's not bypassable lag. You'll lag using a potion, a skill, picking stuff up, whatever. It's due to distance from the servers MapleSEA are hosted on.

I'm from Canada as well and the lag I had in both Bootes and Delphinus were the same. But it really isn't that bad except for Ah Ma ksing... you'll quite enjoy the language there.

Also, a newly made account won't work. You'll need access to a much older account.

MSEA lags worst then jMS and kMS combined, why would you wanna play there? ._.

AHAHAHHAHA! funny joke, kevy. singlish drove me crazy, and half the time ppl can't understand normal english or start shouting in hokkien, expecting me to understand lolo. after 2.5yrs there, i left msea in 2007.

the lag is horrible if you go from GMS to msea, you will be thinking to yourself "why the fk do i lag so much when i pick up crap" ;] i only login my msea acct to explore new areas and cs stuff.

Haha, there was this one time when I wanted to just watch this group of people kill Ah Ma, and they threatened to ks my guild if i kept "ks-ing" them (camping for hours is common)... such kind fellows. Afterward, I accidentally gen-ed all the mobs and they died Smile

Pick up lag is not fun. I have that playing on GMS from Brazil, when I played from canada, boy was it nice.

There's lag?

I don't experience it at all. It's as if I'm using tubi. But I'm not.

But I live in Singapore, and on the same ISP as MapleSEA is hosted (which, as advertised, gives me a 100mbps connection to them, letting me download their 1.4GB client at 7megaBYTES per second!)

im using singtel, the downloading of client took 7 hours through torrent. Game play is completely smooth.

Don't use torrent method when there's little seeders Smile download it via direct download instead.

lol you had to start Rolleyes.

Anyway I do not feel any lag, so you cant say its the server's or "internet services', wth is that?" fault, if anyone's to blame its your distance or your own ISP, too bad.

Yeah, I agree with the rude people, totally worked up over a game is like...stupid?

It's those AND the distance. Internet connections aren't instant. They need to travel, and there's no direct line that travels over the ocean.

So I lag when playing GlobalMS too, is your server crappy and has "bad internet service"? Simply no.
