Borderlands..

Well, the PC version of the game comes out next week. I've already got my copy pre-purchased on Steam, awaiting download. Is anyone else buying this for PC? It would be nice to have a few people to play with.

Just finished a seven hour gaming session with a bro. It was intense. Revolvers are actually really nice. Damn accurate, high powered. Some Scags are really just ridiculous. Like Burning Badass Scags or something; we're both Hunters and we both have Incendiary Sniper Rifles, so that really limits how we can approach those fuckers.

I'm a level 20 Hunter. Haven't bought the game. Playing over Hamachi with a friend. I'd say it would be a fairly good investment though if you have money. There's stuff you can do single player but this game really shines as co-op; there's a fair bit of co-op specific content I believe, and it's loads more fun. However, I do believe there are many ways to abuse the game in PC Multiplayer so be aware of that issue.

We just finished that quest too, I think. Sledge, was it? My Sniper Rifle is only 65 Damage D= I use it for the 2.4x Scope and 3x Fire though, mainly. Does really well for that.

Yeah, 2 person is nice, but 4 people is when all hell breaks loose. Especially since the monsters are significantly harder when its a full party. I personally got it over Steam, as a prepurchase 4 pack so it was only 34$ or so per person. Even now it'd only be 37$ as compared to 60$ for the console, if we're talking about the 4 pack deal.

The game is still worth $60 on a console anyways. I've played it quite a bit, and I'm about to go play it some more. My highest leveled character is a level 32 Berserker (lolduh). My friends found out how to mod guns and items on the Xbox, free awesome items for me is naiiiise.

I'm a level 15 Lilith right now. I'm about to do the Sledge quest later. Haven't been able to play online yet though, since Gamespy is screwing up. Been playing 2 player over LAN with my roommate though. Good fun. I got an incendiary shotgun that does like 20x11 or something ridiculous like that. The Roid Rage Psycho was actually quite easy to solo with it.

I loved the regen shields until I got Lilith's skill that heals you while you're in phasewalk. I really don't have a reason to have a regen shield, or have med kits around with that (especially with only a 44 second cooldown on phasewalk).

My skillbuild is going to be odd. I'm only putting points into skills that upgrade the phasewalk in some way. I think by the end I'll have points in all 3 trees o_O

Err... what? Phasewalk has at most a 36 second cooldown, 20 seconds if you max out Hard to Get.

Skagzilla was fun to solo. I was surprised at how many attacks it had.

It really depends on what you want from the game. I just wanted some mindless questing, some good bosses and set battles, and good shooting mechanics. That it definitely delivers on. If you want more of a story than Left 4 Dead has, it's not the game for you.

I'm just glad that in all the gameplay movies that they released before the game was out, they were actually using underpowered guns. I was really worried that all the enemies would require over a full clip of bullets to take out. Right now I'm 2-shotting most normal enemies (non-badass ones) without crits and 1-shotting with crits.
