Merchanting Questions

So I'm new to the whole merchanting thing..

Which strategy do most people employ? As in Do you shout B>Scrolls in the FM ent? Or do you constantly run around the fm looking or something you can make a profit on? Or MTS back and forth?

Also, whats considered a "decent" profit on something, as in what % do you say its worth it to buy to resell something?

(I've been employing the B>Scrolls and only buying things that i can sell for atleast 10% more) Am I doing this right? the mesos seem very slow compared to what i've heard from others....

I stray away from everything except 60% scrolls because they seem to sell the best. I don't bother sitting in the FM and spamming because it isn't worth the time, for the profit. It's best to just go through the FM a few times a day, about 4 hours apart and look at everything. Buy anything you think you can make at least a mill or more profit off of. I've been merchanting with my 3 month hired shop, and I've made 400m in the past 2 weeks.

I also don't stay in FM entrance. I can't stand all the spam and lag. Although, I have guild mates who do that and have made a good profit off of stuff bought from noobs. I usually keep an eye out for good deals when I'm already searching through FM for something I need. I buy anything I know I can make a few mill+ profit and just toss it in my FM shop.

also when you guys say that you know you can make a mil or 2 off something do you price it at avg price and hope someone who needs it comes along or price it just under avg so it'll sell faster/another merch will buy it to make their own buck?

What I do/did is only buy items that will sell fast,60% 30% and some verry wanted items in your server, soo lets say I can buy x for 1m and x will sell 3m than i make it 2.8m soo it sells a lot faster. Than again I don't call myself a excellent merchanter.

the person you bought it from sells it for a mil under average. you resell for the average price atm. some other merchant comes along and buys your average priced scroll and sells it in fm 1 for 2 mil above the average price.

also how I make my money is browsing all the fms looking for cheap crap. I get the luckiest late at night, like around 11pm my time (pst).
