Spirit Week 2x drop...

I saw the message when I logged on today, but I'm not sure what it meant.

It said 2x drop will happen from 3:00pm to 9:00pm for 30 minutes.

Does that mean every hour, on the hour it will go until half past, stop, and then next hour start again? Or is it once at a random time between those two times?

Interesting though. Has anyone confirmed that it actually works? Serverside 2x drop events have been known to NOT ACTUALLY HAPPEN in the past.

I don't think I've seen any '2x drop is a lie' threads this time, but I bet it is. Nobody cares enough to do a test.
I wonder how many thousand tickets would have to be submitted saying 2x drop does not work before Nexon started to believe them.

I took part and I don't think it actually happened. Nexon sucks at 2x events.

Zach tested it last week or the week before and it didn't work. He said he wasn't getting 100% etc drops like he should've been. I noticed the meso droprate didn't change between those two times but he said that event 2x drop wouldn't affect meso droprate... is that true?

It should cause enemies to be twice as likely to drop mesos (as opposed to family drop or a card which doubles the amount received AND doubles the amount dropped.)

But yeah, I'm fairly certain Nexon screwed up once again. It's been over a year and a half since they got 2x drop events to work properly. They were glorious when they did work, too. It's a shame.

I guess a good way to test it out with definable results would be LMPQ. So if you're getting max exp (I think it's 15k? I haven't lmpqed in awhile) for the first half hour... then it drops to random exp every time, I guess we can conclude the 2x drop works.

Don't you miss the days when Nexon could at least do an event right? I got my MM up to 71 in LMPQ with that last correct 2x drop event a year and a half ago.

actually, i thinkn its a lie due to the fishing nets. I trained for 4 hours on tuesday, then trained for the 4 hours during even, and event gave me roughly same nets (it was in the high 7xx's, and differed only by about 20, and i think the event day was the lower of the two anyway.) So I believe its a lie.
