How many pushups can you do?
#1
My roommate somehow indirectly gave me this idea. Drop down, do as many good ones as you can, post here. Posting a really high number just to glorify yourself doesn't make you cool.

EDIT: Just did mine. 53.

We had to do like, 47 I think it was for gym. I would just keep going until he told us to stop, so I could easily get over 50.

I like how you make the last option 50+ just so you can be in the highest category.

...okay...should I add 50 - 60, 60 - 70, 70 - 80? :| I just thought 50 would be a good number to stop.

LMAO I DID 12. God I'm such a platypus.

But in my defense I feel like I've been hit by a truck and I've had about three bottles of Mike's Hard Lemonade and started feeling dizzy.

I'm going to say I can do 50-55 exactly. So not much over 50 but yeah.

I hate pushups... I prefer pullups.

Well, I just did 25 (or 15 if my guess is wrong), but I stopped because I thought I miscounted, and didn't want to keep going.

Would try it again, but now that I've stopped I feel weak, and from past experience I know I won't even be able to attempt a push-up for at least 2 days now. That happens regardless of how few or many I do. Bah.

I should exercise more.

Edit: Voted for 20-30 because I don't ever recall doing more than that anyway.

13, ha.

In my defense I'm a nerd and I really don't do upper body exercises ever. At the most I think I managed 30 in a bit under a minute >_>

I could do 50 when I was in good shape... now probably nowhere near as much.

I did 11 push ups and then I ate a bowl of cookies & cream flavored ice cream.

Go me.

Girl pushups or boy pushups?

I also prefer pullups (although I'm not sure if I can do any anymore). Pullups don't give me headaches. I have no idea why pushups do..

I did 4.

In my defense, I didn't use my hands.

I tried my best to pull it as far as I could and couldn't manage any more than 20 (which took a LOT of willpower by the way). In my defense I probably weigh close to twice you guys and I'm also a nerd.

@Throws: It amazes me how you can run more than 10 miles and only do 13 pushups? I know I can't even run a mile. Goggleemoticon

@DarkPwnage: I suppose that is because blood runs down your head when you do pushups. Try standing on your legs, wide spread (no surprised buttsex) and straightened, then drop your head to as close to the ground as possible. Keep it hanging for a minute and you'll start to feel it.

upper body strength =/= lower body strength

Also, took taekwondo for a few years (emphasis on kicking techniques) played DDR religiously during high school, and I walk for approximately an hour every day. I have nice, strong legs.

Nowhere near as in shape as I was waaay back in high school when I had gym every day. I could do about 25? then. Now I'm a lazy ass... drive to campus, sit on my ass in the lab all day, sit on my ass and Maple at night. I fail. Biggrin I just struggled to do 1 *real* push-up... so I vote none. Girly ones I can do about 10-20.

Now my arms hurt. Thank you for more motivation to start working out again. Wink

Yeah. Leaving the max at 50 = not a great idea.
