I'm sure a good number of us have noticed this already, but I don't think I've seen such a topic on it yet.
So when doing my usual stuff in looking at Maple stuff, I saw the Timeless weapons and stuff. I didn't think much about them at the time, except that they were the new end-game weaponry. Fast forward to about a few months ago, I saw that they were given new names.

Timeless Claymore --> Timeless Nibleheim
I don't profess to be an expert in this stuff, but immediately I thought to myself "hey, that's the underworld of the Norse!" (that is actually not correct, Hel is the underworld of the Norse; the misconception arose because Nibleheim was one of the worlds at one of the roots of the world tree, Yggdrasil) Spelling issues aside, since one source cannot agree with another, I thought to myself that this Time Temple business would be associated with Norse mythology. I haven't found many more matches, but I could look harder later...
Another big popup in Norse mythology are the two bird statues in the Pink Bean fight. Their names are Hugin and Munin. Those are also the names of the two ravens that scout for Odin, one of the most significant gods of Norse myth. Unfortunately, I do not know anything about Rex the Wise or Ariel, though one could say Ariel was a forgotten valkyrie (I heard somewhere that these statues were the embodiment of forgotten gods or some shyt like that). Solomon the Wise seems more like the king of Israel; I wouldn't know wth he's doing with those other statues, although like many religions and culture, stuff was mixed up and adapted through time.
One last resemblance, though not entirely aligned, is Ragnarok. Ragnarok is the ultimate final battle of epic-ness for the Norse, and in this battle pretty much everyone dies. Ragnarok is inevitable. It is thus in the interests of the Norse gods and the Nordic warriors to do everything in their power to delay Ragnarok for as long as possible, and to train tirelessly in preparation for Ragnarok, especially the einherjar, who are the gods' chosen warriors, formerly great fighters when they were alive. In MapleStory, there's not much of an opposing army, but just Pink Bean instead. However, since Pink Bean was brought about by the Black Magician's servant Kirstan, this moment could be said to be a part of delaying Ragnarok. The MapleStory-equivalent of another Ragnarok we knew was a terrifying day for all of Maple World, and one of the reasons why the wisemen of Victoria fled Ossyria. (the Black Magician could be said to be Loki, who was destined to lead the army against the gods and the humans of earth)
Well, this is pretty much all I have to say about it. But knowing that Time Temple is related to Norse mythology, I think it might be worth trying a Pink Bean run on Wednesday and Thursday. Why those two days? Because Wednesday was named after Odin, and Thursday was named after Thor. It's a long shot though, I don't think there's really anything special on those two days, but who knows...
