Although the message isn't technically wrong, as I do not carry arrows, I have to wonder how that happened. I have yet to recreate it.

Not only what russt said, but that would also give you the "you're not wearing a weapon and cannot attack" or whatever that message says instead of the "you're out of arrows". o.o

Exactly. That's why it's so weird. I wonder if I would have shot an arrow if I was actually carrying one.

But yes Cyanne, I was dispelled right around when I saw that message.

Maybe bowman/corsair skills don't actually have programmed into them what kind of projectile they use, but it's determined by the weapon being equipped (which would make sense). You got dispelled the same instant you hit an attack, so it tried executing the attack, but you didn't have the gun anymore so it reverted to default and consumed an arrow. Or would have.

That doesn't explain why it didn't say U NO HAZ WEPUN though.

@Russt: when programming error protocols and whatnot, I can say and do whatever the hell I want. That's not good practice though. And I think that's what's going on here, as we've had to deal with mystery errors in MapleStory (admittedly this is one of the stranger ones).

Naw, when I try to use any of my gun skills (Rapid Fire, in this case) without a gun, it tells me "You cannot use this skill with the weapon you're equipped with." That's what it should have said in this case.

What I meant by "in limbo" was something like you getting your weapon stripped off insantly after the check that you actually have a gun equipped and the actual attack, which allowed you to use rapid fire or something with your bare hands and automatically displays the arrows message because you can't throw bullets/arrows with bare hands. Dunno I didn't code maple

i can trow arrows and bullets with my bare hands, they just wont fly far/kill something

I recreated it just now. I'm pretty sure that if you're not right, you're close. You can see the message once (in a pile of 30 other messages that are polluting your screen) if you hold Rapid Fire and right-click MW.

Yep, just tried it. I bought 20 arrows and bolts. None of them were used and I still got that message.

I was messing around on a private server (I won't say which one), but I hit Hurricane while I was a Corsair once and it worked. :f6:

source of pservers is different.

That doesn't mean it has absolutely nothing to do with it...most things like skills are pretty close to gMS.
