pineapple... this is ridiclious

So ya.. i decided to start Merchanting when i passsed my friend in the Pirate ranks so that i could gain a bunch of money and become stronger. so on thursday or friday there was a channel 1 crash for Bera so it kicked out my mushroom shop from ch1 like everyone else's and then ~ 10 mins later it comes back online and i end up getting a respectable FM 3 spot(muchbetter than my FM 5 spot i had before) so all is well for the first few hours then im crusing fm looking for deals and stuff i can flip to make some money mainly scrolls and i find a bunch and i find this 1 atk cape that was listed rather low so i purchase that and im going to put it in my shop, but little do i know that theres a DC hacker standing in the same map as me and he sees me standing on my shop (i guess he realizes im about to re-establish my shop and that hes going to dc me and take the spot) so im standing there i close my shop it gives me my items and than i re-open my shop cause i wanted to change the title of the shop to Leave offers on the new cape i have in my shop and i get it up and i get utterly spammed thryu whispers and chat invites, i almost dc froozen there for liek 25-30 seocnds then i finally un lag for a moment just enought time to click open the shop and i see this guy say in the map aww man i almost had your spot so i get out of my store and im liek wtp why were you trying to dc me... go away and he just starts laughing so a little later that night he starts spamming my whispers again and i end up freezing for over liek 2 mins on my comp (figured by that length i was going to dc anyways) so i just turn comp off and reboot it, come back on line and ask the same guy why hes doing this to me and he proceeds to dc me again so im getting a little pissed @ this point and i just log off for the day and figure im going to come back later in the night when hopefully hes gone and restock my store then, no dice hes still online and proceeds to spam my whispers and invites again, so i black list him and log onto another char for a little, went back to main char, blocked all chats invites of any kind and i have no idea.. but he still ends up spamming my whisps.. so i just turn my comp off and play Ps3 for a bit.. i come on the next day and i get the same bull pomegranate throughout the day he even manages to ruin 2 of my Zak runs, then next day i come back to check my mushie shop and hes left a message in there saying that hes going to continue to do this untill i pay him 300M -_- then i have another Zakum run ..~ 30 mins ago we get in the altar just fine then i see he chat;d me and rigth away im like pineapple guys sorry im about to dc and sure enough bam i dc so i log on a diff acc and find him and ask him flat out wtp man.. and hes like... well your the only one in the fm who seems to not like me dcing them so im going to continue to do this forever....


Question time... wtp>.< is there any surefire way to combat DC hackers (yes hes done it while my Whisps chats pt every kidna of invite was blocked and hes been on my Black list for liek 3 days) and is it bad if i want to go out and find some dc hacks and do the same thing back to him just when i want to restock my shop just so i CAN restock my shop without him interfeering

Stay logged off for at least 24 hours. If the person continues to harrass you, stay logged off for at least another week. If you can't get away from maple, play a different character.

sadly DC hackers still run around and theres nothing we can do about it, SS the message he left in your shop and send it in a ticket and report him, thats about all you can do at the moment.

i dont want to not play maple for a day >.> im the # 1 corsair in bera and im soo close to being the # 1 overall pirate and i dont want to take that kinda of time off.. and i dont have any other char to play my koC is already just about 120..

Also if hes bothering your shop open it on another character on that account, he wont know its you.

And you can delete/create infinite mules if you have at least 1 spared slot on your account.

Use a Mushroom shop and go to check on it at obscure times of day, on other characters if you have to, then go back on the character that owns the shop and change channels to 1 while you're already in the room (preferrably on the top floor, it's hard to see people if there's a ton of shops). He won't be able to see you quickly enough.

ive been doing this... i got up @ 11 am 2 days ago and he dc'd me.. came back 3 hrs later still dc'd me came back liek 8 pm still dc'd me was back @ ~ 1 am and he still friggin dc'd me.. and i did that cc on the fm thing i have no frigign idea how he has this much time to dedicate to just dcing me

If you read carefully he said he logged on another character for a bit, not to open the shop, open the shop on another character, dont ask him why hes doing this, just ignore him.

By ignoring him he'll get bored and wear himself out, if you keep acknowledging him he will just keep doing it because hes getting attention out of you.

i tried that for 3 days.. and he kept doing it, i asked him why after 3 day

haha pomegranate happens deal with it. he cant whisp you. even if you block it, he can still sends packets to you and make your maple freeze out of no where. My friend does this and everyone without a mushie shop gets d/ced in fm1. Make sure your blacklist is case sensitive too. Haha in windia, theres been a point where its broken up my guild, he's canceled ht's/zruns.

Just keep ignoring him, people like him crave attention and he's doing this because he cant connect with people like a normal person, if you keep ignoring him he'll move on to someone else eventually, just gotta tough it out =\

Doesn't work. This new whisper spam hack thing bypasses it somehow. I've been disabled at Anego several times via this method despite having my whispers disabled.

Sounds like he's botting, not actually sitting there typing '/find ___'. atleast I hope he is, the alternative is far too sad to consider. If this is the case though, you could try logging on immediately after a server check to get the things you need to sell and your mushroom shop off of the character.

The problem is, if he is using a botting program to do it, he won't just get 'tired' of constantly dcing you, it'll just keep doing it until it gets patched, or if it has a limited list of people and the individual behind it decides that someone else is of a higher priority.

something similar happened to me...

I was trying to merchant in FM, saying B>stuff and crap like that, then some dude trades me and says to stop, im like no O_o. He spam trades me, like in a way a non-hacker can't do. But he wasnt trying to DC me..he was trying to make me not get any trades. I walked out of FM, i didnt get any trades..walked back in, bam, many many a second. I'm guessing hes somehow botting to do that to multiple people...

Stop talking to him. Don't give him the light of day. If you interact with him, get pissed and let him know, that's all the more reason for him to do it because it gives him a hard on. If that doesn't work, don't get on for a period of time. And if it's really bugging you, name change.

Hacker seek attention. If you're responding to them, it's like feeding them what they crave.

So the best thing to do is to ignore, or make a report.
