How you deal with these people..?
#1
You know those people who come into your map and kills the mobs without asking if you wanna share the map? And when you ask them to cc they say some weird foreign language, acting like they don't know what you mean.

How you deal with these people? I can't tell if they are acting it or they seriously don't understand. One time the guy actually called his uncle who speaks a little English to talk to me Stunned

This. If there are no other channels available (rarely ever happens) then I'll just find something else to do or some other map to train in.

I used to get really upset and KS people when something like that happened to me, but after a while I just grew tired of wasting so much energy over something so unimportant. Also, mini-dungeons are your friend.

Make a nasty comment about their mother and threaten to kill them.

Continue to kill things until they get annoyed and wander out.
Rolleyes

Those kinds of people don't have large enough attention spans to stay in one place trying to speak another language and get a map at the same time.

Off Topic:
I use different languages when I don't want newbs to talk to me. Especially when I'm sitting in some place like the HPQ area.

Find your own translator to help, I've done that before.

Ask them to leave. If they refuse I follow them around using blizzard until they get frustrated and leave.

The ones who bother me are the ones who come in a room and are like "I'VE BEEN HERE FOR LIKE AN HOUR SO CC!" I hate liars.

I just tend to go on killing things if I know I can outkill my opponent. If he's stronger than me, I just change channels.

I'll get my friend's bishop and KS them until they leave. Simple as that.

I do this just with either my marauder (not too well, but it works) or with my BM.

1.) Inform them of what you believe their sexual orientation is.
2.) Insult their mother's sexual decency.
3.) Awkward silence.
4.) Find your own channel.

Works every time.

Sadly, there is no way to Change Channels in peace especially if one is in Scandalia (In popular places like Lower Ascent, Hooo boy...). What I do is just mind my own business and change the way I rotate around the map since if they're going to be killing around that area, then it'll save me time when I rotate around a smaller area, thus making my training more efficient.

After all, if they are acting they do not understand English and they dislike me for staying in the map, then sooner or later they will speak to me in a way that I understand (And if they tell me to CC, then I'll just tell them to get their own Credit Card or whatever that has the acronym 'CC'). If they really do not understand English though, then no harm done because I am just minding my own business and I will not understand them if they want me to leave, hah.

I had to get one of my friends who spoke spanish to come into gobies (this was a while back when they were the endgame grind spot) and talk to a guy who was CCing after me and killing my houses, turned out he really did think that us fighting each other for the map was a mutual game, after some discussion he left and apologized.

So im sure some people out there really do enjoy it and dont understand people who want to solo maps. But MapleStory really is one of the only games where theres an unstated rule that this "I solo this area" rule exists, so I do try to be lenient as it may be people's first character and jumping all over them and KSing and yelling isnt the ideal way to deal with them, and if it were their first experience that just gives them a bad impression of you.

I did this with my cygnus at mysterious path 3, mainly because it was extremely overpowered there, not having enough accuracy for stronger monsters. That and the fact that I leveled every 15-25 minutes and didn't really want to switch training spots before the 4 hours I trained there was up. They leave once I destroy the mob in their range within like 2 seconds, especially those people who just sit on the jeep =p Never really had anything close to this issue 1-120 other than those 4 hours.
