What INT gear could I upgrade for the next 10-20 extra INT?
#1
Copy pasted from Pirate Forums. Slight changes.

I have accumulated about 1.8 billion thanks to the Item Maker/Relic Patch, but since I've been so miserly/cheap my whole Maple life I am reluctant to spend much money on equipment. I'm so cheap that I was crying on the inside on paying 100m for 10 DEX earrings. Goggleemoticon

My current INT gear are the following, made some upgrades today:

-7 INT wand
-17 INT robe
-8 INT earrings (Upgrade)
-22 INT Horntail Pendant
-1 INT glasses
-17 INT cape (Recent Upgrade)
-5 INT level 50 pirate gloves (Made with Adv Wisdom crystal. replaced my 4 INT/4 MA yellow gloves which I am now reselling in MTS; upgrade)
-7 INT temporary Agent shoes (Will use Item Maker and go for 8-10 INT pirate shoes later on with a combination Advanced Wisdom Crystal + Intermediate/Advanced Dark Crystal)
-15 INT Zakum Helm
-41 Base INT (AP reset during the AP sale for that extra oomph for double washing)

This totals up to 140 INT whenever I would level. Currently I would gain about 4 APs worth of extra HP per level. Now I need to think about how I should go about further gaining more INT. I already reset some AP from STR to INT. A loss of 37 STR isn't going to impact me much when I am DEXless. I am figuring out how to gain another 20 INT so I can gain my goal of 160 INT. The easy way will be to use another 20 resets of course; I am wondering about the hard way though. Is it possible with 1.8b? Or what's a good combination or AP resetting and INT equipment upgrading to as cheaply as possible obtain this goal? If I only have to AP reset 10 times and buy a cheap extra 10 INT, I'd be happy as a clam. NX wise buying better equipment via MTS is an option for me.

8/7 YWGs cost me about 90m. With 1.8b you can get much higher YWGs, so yeah, that should be an easy 5 extra int if you get 10/9s (or something). You're earrings should be at least 10 int with that kind of money, so that's an extra 2 int. 5/10 maple shield might also help. That's 12 int right there. If you can afford a better maple shield, then that's up to you. I wouldn't be able to tell you prices on that one though.

A better wand should be relatively cheap.

The robe is upgradable if you can get lucky with an intermediate(advanced?) Wisdom and an intermediate(advanced?) Dark Cyrstal and a stim on a low leveled makered pirate overall

How about an INT shield? They're pretty expensive, but a 5 INT one shouldn't be too much. Perhaps a better wand, too, since 7/7 60%s isn't quite up to par with your other stuff, especially considering wands are cheaper than most of the other stuff (that can be used by mages). Glove and shoes too, but I think you're working on those.

Why do you want to wash so bad anyways? Buccaneers have all the HP they need without washing.

Because it's the only reason I am still playing Maple, so I want to go all out on doing things I've never done on my old characters. HP washing (heavy) is one of those things. Getting to 200 is another. A 2ndary stat-less character is a third. Last priority is getting powerful gear, because I never invested much money in my other characters.

So from what I'm reading for easy/cheapest upgrading:
-10+ INT wandn (probably 12 INT)
-5 INT shield
-Makered (level 70) Pirate Overall

Funny thing is I will try to go for a 8-10 INT gloves/shoes via Maker if possible. But if I buy a 10 INT yellow glove that is one less Maker equipment I gotta worry about turning out bad.

Something you might be overlooking is the stat requirements for these. In order to use a wisdom crystal and a dark crystal, you need to do it on level 80 stuff that needs 80 dex.

Another trick to getting a little INT boost is to get someone to give you MW. That's 4 more INT that cost you nothing but the paitence of a friend. Shine

You could buy an INT zhelm, or throw a few INT scrolls on there, assuming you haven't scrolled your current one. Chance a few 30%'s on a wand and see what happens, that could be an easy few points.

Idk how much "with the community" you are, but the best thing to do really is just borrow. I got 8x on my old set [it's higher now with new stuff, but haven't leveled in a couple months] but when I borrowed, it went 14x+

Make friends and stuff, it'll be a lot lot cheaper for you.

^ *seconds that* lol

Um, why not try scrolling the helm if you have regularly access to zak runs? You could easily obtain +10 int from scrolling the helm. Maybe look into upgrading your eye accessory too. I think compared with a shield, you'd get more int for your mesos by upgrading a few int more on eye. The wand should be easily upgradeable (even 12 int wooden wands aren't that expensive).
