Belt Exchanging

So do i need to get the white belt before getting the next one up, or can i just save for the yellow belt right away with my points?

You don't lose points when you get the belt so... either way doesn't matter.

You can skip all the other belts and get the black belt if you wanted to. But getting a belt doesn't take away from your points in case you don't know.

Let's put it this way...

I finally got 200 points for my White Belt,
But clicked Reset my Dojo Points because every mapler will do this after all their hard work,
And closed my laptop in silence...

How hard is it to look at what the NPC says before clicking it?

I was clicking, and accidentally clicked reset points, but stopped before actually doing it, not that hard to accidentally click something.

If the points are that important, don't be in such a rush to click through stuff. =P

What's a few extra seconds - compared to hours of getting the points, eh?

200 Points takes 20 minutes max o_o.

I wasnt clicking/ i was typing. and it it went outside the chat box and i pessed the npc chat key, etc.

You can't skip belts. I saved up 1800 points and tried to do the Yellow. It said "You must get belts in order". So i grabbed the white, then still grabbed the yellow. No point reductions.

Looks like you can go straight for black if you want, but you gotta grab the other 4 first.

It's sort of like a time-line

White belt---------Yellow belt-----------Blue Belt---------Red Belt-------Black Belt
0---A-------------------B------------------C----------------D------------17000

As you accumulate points, you reach each belt. Once you pass 17000, you have to reset aka start at the beginning of the line at 0 points and recollect again.

If you reset, or get to black belt - if I remember correctly. You just have to get the points for them again.
