HP washing for slingers
#1
Just wondering, how NECESSARY is it for a slinger to hp wash for Zakum, Pap, Pianus, HT. I know it varys on what level I want to do those bosses, if I DONT hp wash, at what levels would I have the necessary HP to boss each of those? Also if its required how much HP do i need WITHOUT HB. Im guessing with HB you wont need to wash. Also how about PB?

I know KMS doesn't have MoNs, but it's pretty easy to put together like 150 HP gear without sacrificing more than like 10 dex, right? 90 HP Spiegelmann and whatnot.

I only had a Deputy Star, which adds 100 HP until 13x.

Zakum: I could survive Zakum at level 105. HP is not even an issue at Zakum.

Pap: I could tank 1st body at 11x. For the bombs, with +300 HP I had enough at level 134, but you should be able to survive by 140. Keep in mind that to solo Pap as a Corsair you need to be able to hit consistent 12ks (at least 1 12k every Cannon), or it will be very difficult. This is very hard to do before 140ish unless you have godly equips.

Pianus: You can survive left Pianus at around level 128. You won't be able to survive right Pianus until level 175 or so.

Numbers for all of the above bosses are without HB. With HB HP isn't a concern at all.

HT: You need to be about level 175-180 to survive with HB.

HP washing isn't necessary at all, you can easily reach the required amount of HP to fight all of those bosses without adding HP. If you feel the required level to fight them is too high, I say go for it and feel free to blood build or HP wash after you can comfortably train at Skeles/TT. Also, if you can put together some good HP earrings and have a little bit of HP coming from a Reverse Blindness or whatever it can make your life a bit easier. For GMS you can take about 6-7 levels off most of those numbers. I am pretty sure I'll have enough HP to HT at 172 or so.

Wait, you can HP wash but you can't blood in KMS? What does that mean? o_o Blood building is just adding points to HP.

like i can pay for AP reset and then put into HP but otherwise I cant put points into HP, I think only when i use ap reset

For PB, you don't need that much more HP(before HB) as you do for HT, I think it's like 300 HP more, which for slingers is about 12~14 levels worth of HP. So if you have enough HP to HT at 170, you should be ready for PB at mid-190s. Although it seems like it might be better to just blood for a level or two, since each point you put into HP is another level sooner you can take on those bosses. And who really misses five dex THAT much?

i wish i can blood level, but i think KMS is evil with this system. I can only add into HP with points i got from AP reset, but i guess I can wash a little bit, thanks ^^

i did a wack load of calculations, and from what i found out even with a MoN's +300 hp that you are a few hundred hp shy of the theorized hp mark for PB.. i assume you would be able to with a few hp items to sac some damage but in this case.. im not sure people would want you for PB if your down a bunch of attack cause at the moment... it hasent really been beaten cause they cant deal enough damage in the time frame, theyre getting closer tho... so they would probally opt to take a Washed char with all their attack items.. and hp washing is also effective cause you can pb in liek 17X or 18X instead of waiting till you hit 200 (since a lot of people seem to quit @ 200 anyways....) imma go look for the thread somene made for min hp for PB and link it in here... gonna take me a little find it tho,,, havent seen it in ages

http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14050

is the thread i was speaking of and this post in the spoiler specifically stats the hp required before HB on it (on avg, cause it will vary if you have a HT pendant or a MoN due to the def values)

its Unnecesary for normal training, you are able to got to newties/nest golems/skeleies at a reasonable time.

It's required for PB and early Horntailing [a corsair i know has 4.4k HP at lv 150, he/she only needs 400 more HP]

what is considered early horntailing, and also I CAN bloodwash in KMS didnt know that, so i blood leveled once, and used one AP reset i had, so I can survive nest golems now at 87! yay. Also should i just bloodlevel 10 levels, i mean thats more than a hundred dollar worth of washing, and yeah... What you guys think? also if i were to horntail "early" with bloodleveling, how much levels total will i have to bloodlevel?

I'd consider early to be late 15x, like 158 or so. You'll need 25-30 AP in HP to survive HT at that level.

ok so 6 levels of bloodlvling! also i got 18 hp per point when i first tried, is there a way to get more per point? and is 18 hp per points good enough like? like 6 levels of bloodlvling (30 points, 18 hp per point) will allow me to HT early?

Resetting MP to HP will always take away 16 MP and give 18 HP for slingers. 30 points is 540 HP, which is about 22 levels worth of HP, so yeah that's definitely enough.

actually when i first tested AP reset, i couldnt take points away from MP, so i just took one dex and tried it, and got 18 points. also I didnt check how much HP i got per point from the 5 AP i got from leveling. You know like when I level i get 5 points which i would put into HP (not taken from MP, just ap from leveling) will that always give 18 hp per point also?

Yeah, it will. Wow, there's no way to get more base HP in KMS without losing damage o_o

I wish we had that.

level up points vary i believe. washed out points always give the same amount.

Edit: too late F4
