didnt know korea was blocked on GMS 0_o.

maybe the best way is the use of a old account, i know it works with European/Brazilian/Viet cause this accounts are allowed by Nexon to be played even with IP block out.

You can connect to KMS without a proxy, and you have always been able to.

But yeah, just use a American or Australian IP.

sorry for double posting but where do you play GMS? also can you tell me how to use this proxifier

EDIT: ive been to the proxyfire site, and i see these IPs, Ports and such... Is this KINDA like ventrilo? Do i just download a proxy and enter in these ips and ports? or what do i have to do? Also a download link or anything would be appreciated. Also i clicked onthe download proxyfire link and apparently there are 2 types, one is free and the other costs 29 dollars, im hoping the free version is sufficient? Im just looking for someone who can teach me step by step how to use proxy to connect to gms, if anyone is willing!! ^^

You are misunderstanding what they mean by "Global".

It is Global (North America) MapleStory. Which means the HQs of it are in North America, and it will stay as a North American game.

Every game that already has their own version of MapleStory is blocked.

Mainly because they can play THEIR version. It is like someone in North America complaining that they can't play Korea's version. Because it is Korea's.

The reason they have the word "Global" in place, is so people who don't have their own exclusive version for their country know where they can play a version of this game.

GMS loses money when people that aren't from North America play.

They updated their security and now scan your IP not only for registration but also when logging into the game. BUT if you follow the steps below and keep this AOL program RUNNING you WILL be able to login. The program creates your own network with American IP. Everything will be the same (your internet wise) except everyone thinks you're in America.
"DO THIS BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD!
Sign-up for an aol e-mail account.
Let's say your new e-mail is thisthing@aol.com
When you get up to the last stage, your screen name is thisthing

Don't sign up using the AOL software. They will ask you about billing etc.
/end foreword

---------------------------------------------------------------------

This is is short explaination on how to make a "Home Network under location" part when useing aol 9.0VR (just google this program. It's very easy and it gives you a new browser like IE or FireFox, but this time with an American IP) or later.

1. On the AOL Sign On screen, click the Connect Options button.

2. Click the Advanced Broadband Settings link.

3. Click the Continue button.

4. Click the Add a Broadband profile link. (Its in the top left corner of the Broadband tab you have to click on the drop-down menu that will be just under the sentence You are currently editing settings for.

5. In the Profile Name: box, type "MapleStory" or something like it so you remeber what profile this is, then click the Add button.

6. Abit further down you have the Connection Type click on the drop-down menu to open it, then select "Home Network" option by clicking it.

7. Click the Save button.

8. Now when you are back at the Sign on screen you just have to change the
Connection: drop-down menu to your profile "MapleStory"

Now all you have to do is logon to your AOL-account and you will have a American IP to register on the MapleStory website ."

This guide isn't mine! Credit goes to Martabak of Mabiguru Fansite

I'm in Europe on vacation and have been using this method for my entire time here. If you want to make a new account, do the same thing as aforementioned and make an account while logged into AOL.
Have fun playing in GMS Smile

@ItzTaylor - not really about the losing money. I know plenty of people that buy paypal nx that are from europe or Australia.

nice guide! looks like this is for creating a I.D. i already have an I.D. I can use i just wanna be able to open the client first. last time i tried and failed i only got to the part where i click the big "PLAY" button and instead of opening the client an error message came up saying maplestory was going through a servercheck. I'm going to try this proxy thingy someone else told me about and see what i gotta do from there ^^
