Nexon's Rankings

[COLOR="Red"]Has anyone else noticed how...out of order Nexon's ranks are? Or am I missing something on how KoC was to be implemented into their ranks? o.O

Looking at Khaini's ranks...there's a 197 and a 120 tied for 49th, a 196 and a 120 tied for 50th, and a solitary 195 in 51st, then a 195 tied with a 120 for 52nd... a 195 and a 200 tied for 53rd...(LOLWUT?) Then another 195 in 54th...

In other words/sights/whatever...

Is it perhaps that they are the X person to reach level 120? They are ranked X for KoC. They just didn't make a Cygnus exclusive ranking.

So they aren't *tied* for that rank, they are just that rank for their own race which is seperate of the other.

EDIT: I didn't see that a 200 was below a 195 though. . .

I dunno...I always assumed Nexon would make entirely different ranks for this...when I saw the 200 below my friend Katie (Desireux) I'm like "...wait...what?"

Try looking up "StarsStrike" on the ranks... it goes to about 600 overall, but he's not even on that page. And he's level 200... between 191s and 120s.

Part of it is due to the cygnus ranks tying with the adventurer ranks on the world ranking, but there are other issues out there as well - Like all of Demethos being "gone", it takes it you to Khaini if you try it.

Still haven't figured out what the other quirks are.

Nexon's had a ticket from me since day one of patch 73 that they said they would "investigate", so in about 18 months they'll fix it.

They'll have it fixed somewhere around v.1.73. Did Demethos crash or something?

Well. I think the 120 and the 19x are because of either what TehMatt said, or because Nexon really, really, REALLY sucks slices of pineapple. But I have no idea what the 195 and the 200 are doing. Maybe a glitch?

I think since the level 200s all have the same exp, and would (naturally) all share rank 1, they used some sort of hack to give them sequential ranks. For the most part this works (a couple people leveled up together, eg. dolob, and have the same rank - which, unlike normal ranks, shares the lower #)

Now that Cygnus are hitting max level, they share that hack - which means on world ranks, they are sequentially added into the ranking after the 200s. As Adventurers hit 200, they're tossed into the same queue as Cygnus - so a 200 is between the 120s that maxed out before and after him.

But since normal adventurers see Cygnus as having lower level, they're just compared directly and tossed into the same rankings above the Cygnuses, and then given increasing numbers the normal way (ignoring the fact that Cygnus already have the same rankning numbers..

I never thought they'd use a "hack" for the 200's, I figured they just did something with the time that they hit 200. Maybe (LOL) they did it manually. How blissfully ignorant I was...

Nah but it's annoying me too. Not to mention how when multiple people hit 200 at the same time, it screws up pages so that some of them disappear and reappear if you hit back and next. But yeah, the ranks are disgusting for now. B> Fix with separate overall Explorer and Cygnus rankings.

also the search function for cygnus doesnt work..i've tried with my thundabreaka and the rank doesnt come up......i have to physically press the next button until i find myself....

I think that's because the system expects 5 ranks per page, and is only getting 3. So when it skips forward +5, it misses 2 ranks (5 people)
