My Computer hates me
#1
My keyboard likes to stop working randomly. Sometimes it dies when I run a version 55 MapleStory *.exe (lolpserver), sometimes it dies when I reboot, sometimes it dies at a totally random moment.
What ever the cause, it's always the same. Changing the USB port would fix it, but I'd never be able to use that USB port to 'fix' the keyboard again. So, naturally, I ran out of ports. Rebooting with "Last known configuration" or a system restore tends to fix things, but not always.
Every time the keyboard stopped working, it would work fine in Bios(?... I could press F8 when starting up to run Safe Mode, etc.), but would stop working when it came to the account login screen.

And after all this fun with keyboards not working... my monitor's freaking out too. It turns everything blue. I can't do anything about it... boo hoo. :[

Having the short temper that I do, this is all really frustrating. Is it a hardware or software issue?
Will a new keyboard fix anything, or is Vista just screwing with me and I should revert to XP/wait for Windows 7?
Is the monitor just getting old, or is there a problem with my computer?

Computer, Monitor, and keyboard are both about 2 years old.
Keyboard:
Multimedia Keyboard Lite
Model No. KUT1
"Velocity Micro" is the brand name all over my computer and keyboard.
Monitor's Sony.

So how did you write this? :f6:

Anyways... You should just buy a new keyboard. And Monitor.

I fixed it this time. Big Grin
The keyboard works when the computer's starting up though... so how do you know a new keyboard won't have the same issue?

When I look around Control Panel, I see my keyboard isn't being recognized at all.

[COLOR="Red"]LOL.

Uh...Is there something stuck in the USB part of the keyboard? That could be messing up the ports on the computer.
