Cheapest Class To Start With?
#1
Like no funding at all. I'm thinking about starting on a new server, and I'm not really sure which class I would pick to get the most meso gain. I would go Priest again, but those eat pots till you get MP eater maxed >_>

And no, I don't know. On Bello I had RL friends that funded me till I could manage myself >_>

I dunno about you, but I managed to get my lvl 15x Paladin without any funding (or NX) whatsoever and minimal friends until lvl 7x. Just try not to go over your head in monster difficulty, I'm sure it's possible with all classes.

As for the most money making and cheapest, I'm not sure. I would have said Priest.

Beginner? =D

That's damn right how I started in Khaini, and ending as a Level 44 Perm-Beginner.

I got a Crusader to 8x in Bera without any funding at all. And I grinded solo until 5x and in 6x I got to meet a training partner.

Warriors are kinda cheap with the HP potions so... I've gotta agree with Kajiti anyway, you can do it with any class. More work probably, but doable.

The only "cheap" non-funded class I can think of would be Cleric, but you already said that... soo... F/P? xd

I'd say some form of warrior. Warriors usually don't cost a lot to make, they only cost a lot to make godly.

I'd say anything that isn't a damage whore.

Warriors hemhorrage money through 70-100, on the other hand I found Magician classes (particularly Priest) and ranged classes much lighter on pots. They pay more per hit but use less per hour.

In 1st-2nd job, a Magician is set if they can get their hands on a clean Maple weapon. Other classes have to buy new gear every 10 levels or they rapidly fall behind in damage.

I'm not a damage whore so I don't really care about that Goggleemoticon

Probably gunna quit this before 70 since I'll have enough funding for a priest and just go from there.

I'd advise a bowman of some sort. ranged = less HP stuffs in general unless you wanna be a melee archer o_O

Archers can have decent damage without being a statless character. hell, it's almost encouraged to have a low/normal archer. Generally funky ddamage fluctuations till mastery is finished, but great for the general "oh! it's an archer! they're cool people." (At least that's what it was like before 4th job. Haven't PQd since then.)

Technically you could start any class without funding at all. That was the point of maple in the first place- to make something that you would love to battle with and enjoy. Then people started making other classes cause they had "Pro damage" or was "better at bossing than those other classes".

Of course warriors are good too, since you really don't need to use skills until later cause their regular attack does "high" damage in the early levels.
