What are some good boardgames?

for me, i kind of like:

apples to apples
catchphrase
bang
pokemon the boardgame (i haven't played that in years)


i don't know very many though

Risk.

Risk, Sequence, and Stratego are my favorites.

Clue and Scrabble are what my mom, sis and I like to play.

Stratego was the best board game...

Scrabble, Risk, Don't break the ice or w/e, and Connect 4.

It's strategic and gets intense.

Scrabble was always a good time. Until you lost an eye.

Stratego, Backgammon.

I like Risk, Monopoly when asshats aren't playing and Malarky which is the best game ever.

I also really like Taboo, which I think you'd like if you like Apples to Apples. I think Settlers kicks both monopoly + risk's ass. Much more complex, much more fun. I think the full name is Settlers of Catan. Pictionary is a *classic* and there is also cranium if you want a combination of drawing, acting, trivia, etc.

Omg Pokemon: The Board Game omfg I remember that pomegranate it was so amazingly fun and odd at the same time. I need to figure out where that went when we moved.

Apples to Apples is fun but Helen Keller is the trump card. But I only find it fun when you have 10+ people playing.

Sorry! is also fun but it can be annoying at times.

Trouble was fun as well but the pieces were hard to grab and it got old after like 5 times playing it

Uhh I live in Canada...does that narrow it down sufficiently? Many of my friends have played it and love it <3 There's actually a place you can play it online too

Monopoly, but I haven't played that in so long. The only board game I play now is chess and that's only when my friend asks me to, so not too often.

Settlers, Curses, Once Upon A Time (That's a FAVORITE, always ends up great with the right people).
