First off, I am a huge fan of the Aran race. Can't wait until I get a chance to play one!
But my confusion lies in the activation of the skills that call for a directional key to be pressed (such as Skill key+ -->).
Does that mean that I have to hold down the directional key before I press the skill key? Press both at the same time? I'm probably missing something obvious here, but could someone explain this to me?

Press one and then the other.
It teaches you doing the tutorial...when you practice using triple swing, and whatever else, you press Ctrl + Ctrl + Ctrl + Down + Ctrl (in that order) as fast as you want without waiting for the animations to catch up, they'll all go through.
I don't know if that applies to the one you're asking about but I'm pretty sure it's the same for all of them.

I'm guessing you can either:
A. Press both at the same time (seems inconvenient).
B. Press them in order (seems like easiest way).
C. Press and hold down the first key and then press and hold down the next key while simultaneously releasing the previous key, and continue to do this for all of the keys in the order of which they come (...no).

Cool stuff!
This adds a whole new element to my training methods...
Now I actually have to actively press buttons at ALL times...

Correct you where in guessing you would have a misspelling. The correct spelling is in fact, "carpal tunnel syndrome". Don't forget the syndrome.

If Option A is correct, then I'll be iffy about making one.
If Option B is correct, then I'll have no problem in making one.
If Option C is correct, an Aran character will never be apart of any of my accounts...

I set attack to A.
I press A -> I swing once
I press A + A -> I swing once and then use Double Swing
I press A + A + A -> I swing once, use Double swing, then use Triple swing.
Damage is all over the place, since when I max Triple, I'll be doing 100%, 140%, 250%, repeat. ;-;
You cannot put Double/Triple swing on keys.
I just spam the A key while training, pausing occasionally to pot.
You don't press any keys at the same time. Just order. Not sure how buffs work, yet. :/
Hax Step, however, is more like Dash.
Double Tapping Left Arrow key will fire me off to the left. Like wise for the right.
If I put it on a key, Shift for me, and press the key, it just shoots me off in whatever direction I'm facing.
That help at all? :>

It helps a little, but not quite what I meant. Another example would be, combo smash. It says down, --> to activate. Does that mean down, left, then combo smash key?

There are no keys for anything except booster and combat step, everything else is attack-key based.
You CAN use down, then right, then attack to use combo smash, OR you can use down+right+attack.
However rush (obtained at lvl54) is different, in that you need to ctrl>ctrl>ctrl>ctrl+direction of rush.
