[color="#cc8899"]Simple question -
Do you prefer your living environment to be neat and tidy, cluttered with your belongings, absolutely messy, or some combination thereof?

Clean. So I know where stuff is.

Weirdly enough, I can't keep track of things if they aren't buried in clutter. Or at most, I have to be the one to clean up. Even if someone tells me where something is, I will forget if I didn't put it there personally.

Mainly clean. But I guess I do like having some of my things scattered around my desk (which I never use). I don't know. I keep both my room and dorm really clean and organized, but I litter my desks with things (notebooks, phone, wallet, keys, etc etc).

Kinda strange. And I always use my laptop on my bed, if you're wondering.

I wish it's clean and tidy but dust gathers up so damn fast and I'm always putting off cleaning my room.

Same, it sits at the perfect level when I do. I shift between Indian style and having my legs splayed out, feet behind me and pointing outwards (I've been sitting like this for years). I put it on a small Ironing Board to keep it from overheating.

Clutter, by far.

I know where EVERYTHING is when it's all cluttered.

Whenever my mom tells me to clean my room...and organize it to her liking...I can NEVER find anything, but I'll remember right where it was before I cleaned my room. So I end up cluttering my room again a day or two later when I pull stuff out to look for an item.

Clutter IS my way of organizing things.

It's (sadly) pretty common around here. Several of my classmates and my very own sister have said the exact same thing. They like their messes, and they keep track of things better that way anyway.

It's such a lie, though. My sister loses things all the time and is always rushing around like a lunatic because she's messy and unorganized.

I seriously have never lost anything when my room is cluttered. I remember things that I need for school/work more easily as well. As soon as I clean up, I forget things, become absent minded, and lose creativity :f6:

Clutter.
I'm not going to pretend that it makes my life easier or that I magically know where everything is because my clutter is organised in my mind. I'm just fucking lazy and can't be bothered to clean anything up. My room consists of a bunk bed, with the bottom mattress used as storage for clothes (not folded). A desk there is filled with loose change, papers, pencils, and random crap that I don't even recognise. My computer desk currently has an empty bottle of water, an empty can of apple juice, a spoon used NX cards, an overhead projector marker, a fine-tipped Sharpie, four whiteboard markers, eyeglass cleaning liquid, glasses case, what appears to be a stack of receipts, a tin of tea, a tin of instant coffee, two calculators, and a mug on top of a corner of my mouse pad.

As you can probably tell, I can have no use for most of the junk here, but it's here anyways.

tl;dr: Joe's a pig.

Both.
Somethings are better clean and some better cluttered.

clutter; i never lose things if i know where i put it down, and if i put it down in a hidden/neat place, i dont know where i left it.

sometimes my mum likes to clean my desk or my room, and she moves sh'it. sh'it like my wallet or my oyster card, or my belt. suddenly its MY fault she moved them. wtp mum it's MY room, i dont go into your room and clean your wardrobe or w/e.

My tables a mess, but thats because I can find stuff easily as I'm used to it.

Everything rest has to be neat though, because I'm a clean freak (except my table, heh)
I organise everything else so neatly because I can't stand having a mess.

I hate contradicting myself ):

When my rooms messy it's like I can automaticaly point and find my stuff. I even remember where my 2 week old bread is(hard is a motherfucker). but IDK my mom is a neat freak and when ever I'm away I'd always find my room half way clean! Mad
I can't believe theirs actually people like that.
