After I get my Energy Charge to level 20, I was thinking of getting Stun Mastery for extra damage because I use BSB and DU so much, and it helps with Gobying, which I plan to start at 82.
21 Blast also sounds good because at 21, It hits 360% and 4 monsters. My blast is 11, and hits 3 monsters.
I was thinking of Stun Mastery since 3 is the magic mobbing number for Marauders. But I need help deciding before I level up

either way will get you set,
i went charge>blast>drain and trained at wraiths/typhons for the most part
my friend mira went stun mastery>charge>blast and still at level 104 trains at gobies with the same rates that i get at wraiths

Off-Topic~ ^^ dude I love your avatar!
anyways: I think you should max out all your energy skills (except drain *if you want*)
Stun mastery isn't that great since it forces you into using BS and DU just to active it...
Blast will help at gobies too just get it to a decent level (21+) but not as much..

From playing a Marauder, Blast is pretty decent damage with huge mobs. As for Stun Mastery, that's good if you're using Backspin Blow and Double-Upper a lot. I'd get Stun Mastery to a decent % or mastery-level, stop there, max Blast, then max Stun Mastery. I love doing this, btw:
BackSpin Blow -> (turn opposite direction) Double Upper -> (turn to opposite direction) dash forward and charge CorkScrew Punch at other mob -> (turn to opposite direction) BackSpin Blow -> (turn opposite direction) Double Upper -> and repeat!

Stun mastery isn't going to up your DPM nearly as much as 21 blast will, especially since we now have spammable blast. I don't even suggest SM until after you've maxed all your energy skills, since its boost is so minimal. Blast is going to help you everywhere, you're really going to want it for Elder Wraiths at 90, where you won't be using Stun Mastery every practically. Stun Mastery will also set you back on Drain, which helps a ton at Himes and NS.

I think that getting Blast to 21 would be much more useful, for, not only does it hit an extra target, but it does significantly more damage. Like others before me have said, Stun Mastery requires using DU or BSB to activate the initial stun, and the it only adds 60% damage onto your attack when maxed. Even if a mob of 4 wasn't present, the extra damage from Blast should prove better than Stun Mastery's.

Exactly, here we have sense. The only real use for SM where you'll get its full potential is when you're 100% stunning the Goby houses. Y'know how much that adds per hit on average? 36%. Not worth it before energy. Anyone who says you could save yourself an entire attack with SM, you're only saving about half a second. You're going to save more time with blast while you're killing the gobies.

Mutherpineappleing Energy Blast. Stun Mastery is situational; it is ONLY worth using on Goby Houses during 3rd job, and to power up Barrage in 4th job. Energy Blast works everywhere, and is grossly overpowered.
And no, 3 is NOT the magic number you should stop at. If it were, Dragon Strike would not hit 6 targets, and Energy Blast would not hit 4 targets.

This is putting aside the 114% damage boost from level 11-30.

Thanks everyone, I've decided to do 21 Blast and maybe even max it before finish Energy Charge. Then I'll do SM.

Most people max blast when they have 3x charge, actually. They did even before blast was spammable. ... And why SM and not drain? >:/

Drain seems very useable at level 1

Drain's usefulness increases exponentially as you level it up. It's not just that it heals more per cast, it's that it can keep up better, so you need to use it less. By the time I'd maxed it, I could use several blasts and 1 or 2 drains then go on to blast several more times. At level 1 drain if I tried that at Himes, even spamming drain wouldn't keep up.

If you're getting 21 shockwave you'd be better off putting 9 points into barrel or MP recovery.
