[GMS] Cygnus Teaser Update
#1
They updated their Cygnus Teaser Website. They added Videos for: Blaze Wizard, Dawn Warrior, and Wind Archer. They also added a new event, in which you design an emblem for the Cygnus Knights. Also added some download-able posters and images.

Some things I noted:

The 1st job summon skill's name has been renamed.

Dawn Warrior: Sol [I seriously hope that's a typo, unless it stands for Spirit Of Light
Blaze Wizard: Ignis
Wind Archer: Ventus

Sol means sun.

But that has nothing to do with the 'Holiness' of Dawn Warriors, unless they mean something related to 'Dawn'.

Yes, I noticed that. I'm curious as to what Night Walkers' and Thunder Breakers' will be named if it's latin based.

Ohh okay. I see why they renamed Soul Master, because it didn't fit in with an 'element'.

Mkay so at least these translations sound cool and make sense.

Did some research. If they name the nightwalker sprite based on the word 'night', it's be Nox or Noctem. The latin word for thunder is Tonitro or Tonitru. It could be based on the word lightning though. So I'm not sure until they release more info.

I hope the winner is not chosen at random... : (

Guessing the other summons will be Umbra for Night Walks and Levitas for Thunder Breakers.

I say the logo should be the Nexon logo with money signs all around.

renaming soul master was kind of useless, because typically the soul of the hero is light/holy/good. however some of more recent fantasy games use flawed characters to make it seem more realistic, so renaming it to something that is blatantly light based removes ambiguity, especially for younglings.

but yeah, these are much better translations than the class names.

I'm pretty sure that nw's will most likely be Noctem. Thunder Breaker is up in the air though. I'm looking for lightning.

Edit: Found it in your post. TB's will probably be Tonitro/Fulgur.

Edit 2: Think Nexon might name the NW's after poison? 'Cause that would be Veno/Ven.

nexon will be nexon. that said, a poison related name doesnt really relate to the class name the way the other 3 are kind of cliche.. wait and see but i dont think or hope so :X

Crepusculum = Dusk.

Nevermind, that's too cumbersome. Tongue Nexon would never choose that. At least, I hope not.

"A dawn warrior is a warrior" made me laugh.

If the Dawn Warrior's sprite became Sol, watch the Nightshadow's sprite become Luna ;-)

My bets are on Nox and Fulgur.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
