server check fixed alleged meso exploit?
#1
After the SC I checked several mesos selling sites and the price has skyrocketed.

Price for 10 Billion yestereday was around $400 US now it's roughly $1,200. So here's hoping that Nexon was actually paying attention and fixed the supposed exploit. Biggrin

Agreed.

I've noticed prices dropping to average again. Let's hope we've avoided a possible economic crisis.

Prices have actually gone down more. Yesterday 1 billion mesos was 54 dollars, today it's 49 dollars.

ive noticed that there arent any spam advertisers in ch1fm1 like normal. normally gamecuu.com spams in fm all day long. havent seen em once today.

before sc, gamecuu was selling 100mil mesos = $4,79, now they sell 200mil mesos = $19,79.

basically, after SC, mesos are worth 2x than before.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

I pray it did. I need prices back to normal so I can resume MTSing at "normal" prices.

There was never a meso exploit to begin with; what on Earth are you talking about?

At only 1000 mesos per sack you can drop 1 million mesos and it would be a thousand bags... Of course they'd probably be using a hack or autoclicker to drop so many. Doesn't necessarily mean it's being generated out of nowhere.

This proves that the Chinese Game Currency trading law or whatever it was, was not the factor of the mesos.

Coulda been upto 50k bags tho, a-@ at any rate, something was done that cut the flow of meso sellers meso intake.

Prices are still low, they only went up a little. And on some sites they even started selling for less.

Mixed bag then, the ones selling for less may be trying to offload most of what they have before they inevitably raise the prices.

And the fact that other MMOs have been experiencing mass inflation and increases in real money trading means nothing? :f6: I know that at least FFXI is, according to my roommate, who is quite into it.

I hope Nexon did something in the SC, assuming there ever was an exploit... but knowing them, I doubt it.

This isn't the first time you've thrown that Carl Sagan quote around is it?

At least do it right:

“You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe”

Dr. Carl Sagan

Besides, I said "alleged"

This infers that we have no concrete evidence of such an exploit, only circumstancial evidence such as several meso selling sites tripling their prices after the server check.

I've heard way, way too many rumors about meso hacks to just believe this one without any proof. The meso sellers might have participated in the giant GFA 60% merchant, or they exploited the agent earrings or something. But I call BS on meso hacks.

The last time I checked (got the link on the meso inflation thread), a site was selling 1bil in Scania for $63.
Now they're for $49.
I don't see them going up.
