For the past few months I have been lurking here and using this forum for references and good information. Today I finally decided to join this forum since over time I realized it has a good community. I've been playing MapleStory for some time and I'm not all that good at some aspects of it (hardcore grinding and pricing). But when I had problems or didn't know something in game, I went to this website and can attest to its great help in helping me on my way.

To start it up, there are some questions that I would like to ask.

First would be why Adamantium prices seem to be going up and also why everyone seems to be stocking up on ores? (Are they seriously stocking up for Maker this soon?)

Also, what do when you get depressed and can't face the grind? (Recently failed my Maple Rohen, 2, out of 6 60% scrolls failed, it could be worse but I'm still at a loss.)

Also do you have any scrolling superstitions? Any placebos you can lend me for the scrolling of my next Rohen (Once I acquire enough 60% scrolls that is, which is pretty tough, considering the server I'm on.)

I'll leave it at that for now, at least until I think of more questions to ask.

Yes, it's for the Maker skill. Adamantium and Orihalcon will be used to forge the lvl 110/120 weapons respectively, while the jewels are used to enhance the stats of a weapon during creation (as in, the equip doesn't exist as an item yet). Some people have an excessive 5000 diamonds! I personally think that's a phail strategy because ... that's too many diamonds >_>

I tend not to scroll stuff in the first place since I'm not the luckiest guy in the world >_> But aside from that, I do group activities such as PQs or helping other people do quests to get through my day.

I am a total atheist with luck, although I still think it's fun to believe in those things xD

Thanks for the info on adamantium and orihalcon, I npced 100 ore of them 2 months ago out of ignorance and I'm kinda feeling the pain right now. But 100 ores is not that big of a loss. Wow 5000 diamonds? They're going to be market rich when Maker comes out (hopefully). Thanks a lot for the reply.

When I was in my, *cough* "Golden Age", I trained all the time with friends. I had a certain schedule with my maple-friends every day. In that way, I would be ditching my friends if I trained less, which seemed bad.

I'm afraid it's completely random. Though I do indeed have some theories, but the fact that I haven't tried them yet makes me don't want to release it. Most likely it'll not be possible to scroll in the way I'm thinking.[/COLOR]

I dunno about that. Pieces of Time have proven to be far easier to accumulate than Dragon Spirits and Dragon Scales, so Adamantium would pale in comparison to Orihalcon. (Adamantium is used for Dragon-themed lvl 110 weapons, while Orihalcon is used for Time-themed lvl 120 weapons)

Is it refined orihalcon and adamantium or just ores?

Why not both? You can get refined plates and jewels from ore counterparts (with one exception, but it won't matter).

It takes 10 ores and a handful of mesos (usually less than 4k) to get plates/jewels from NPCs such as Mr. Thunder (Perion), Vogen (El Nath), or Pi (Ludibrium Village).

Thanks. That cleared up some things for me. But now, I'm pretty pissed off that I terribly scrolled my soul Rohen. The 70% on the first slot passed then the next 5 60%s failed. The last 60% worked although it was a pity pass. I now have 3 90 attack soul Rohens and it's pretty hard to find cheap ones on Demethos. Forgive my whining, kinda distraught.
