It's along time for any announcments Nexon America and their iTCG. The produce seems to be dying after so long.
Honestly, Hasbro is selling less and less of them now, I used to see iTCG Set 1, 2, and 3 on there, now all that's left is 5... and the redeem codes don't even work at the moment.
This would mean Facestompers, SCG, and all those goodies are gone...
But from what I see... JapanMS did implement some original content in the Maker. With Neo Tokyo, you can craft some items from the area. So why couldn't they do the same with Masteria? I mean, if you look at the factors:
1.) iTCG is heavily weaved into Masteria's content and storyline, it would be hard to move out without alternating things.
2.) New players would be left out of anything such...
3.) It would be the easiest way to move out of iTCG, yet keeping the items.
4.) Masteria is Nexon America's Original Content, their pride and joy it seems (lol).
5.) Doing so would cause more "crafting recipes" for later expansions upon the Masteria areas, to be a lot easier to produce.
I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if Nexon America did a move like this, I would also want to finally chaos scrolls some Facestompers, they're becoming too rare, and too expensive now :f6:
P.S. : Excuse my grammar, it's 4 AM and I haven't slept.

it would be lame if they disapeared. not because i like them but its dumb to put a stop to certain items being available, at a certain point only some ppl will have them and they wont sell them anymore, or hardly, making them unobtainable by newer players...

If they do finally move away from the trading cards entirely I'm sure they'll pull off something like this. I'm curious as to whether the crafting recipes would let you directly make an itcg item or it could be used to make the crafting items that you would use to make them. In other words, would they let you forge a stormcaster glove using maker directly or would they allow you to produce a subani ahnk instead?

Too bad, I liked iTCG.. I hope they will keep producing it, instead..
Oh well.. alternatively, I say they should let people make the ITEMS to forge the iTCG equips, like Taru Totems, Subani Ankhs, etc.

That's a really good idea. People who don't want to spend money on Maple can finally get an iTCG item without spending too much, and Nexon doesn't have to keep producing cards anymore.
Less cards, less paper wasted (who actually keeps their cards?) and less trees killed! Everyone's happy

Yup, or the forging NPCs would be rendered useless.

They already are. The only reason I use them is to refine ores.

Item forging was sort of a cool addition to the game IMO, its sad that its simply not worth it anymore.

Uh, not those forging NPCs. Jack, Glimmer Man, Dr. Foxwit, Corinne, etc. The ones who "Forge" the ITCG items the thread is about.
Silly
Although David - Face the far more likely reality - All those ingredients coming from NLC Gachapon instead of ITCG.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Also another possiblity.
Excuse my typing...
But they could also make it a mixture. iTCG coming from Gachapon, and you need Maker to finish it off...

This. Nexon still makes a profit from iTCG items this way, and it's also probably the easiest way to put the items into the game, rather than edit the maker skill to make the items.

If they dont fix ITCG I bet there will be a lawsuit. People paid alot of $ for those codes/packs of cards with some value expectation from those codes. For them to just drop them without notice or recall is just opening them up for a lawsuit. I think it will be fixed, I just dont know when.

They should just make old iTCG junk drop at a low rate from krakia monsters and/or ckpq bonus.

I hate this idea for the sole reason that if they wated it implement monsters droping them it should have started when they added crimsonwood and phantom forest as theres a direct refernce to elder wraiths in the crystal ilbis so if they made parts dropable they'd have to change the droplists for other masteria monsters too not just the krakia monsters.
Plus putting them in cwk bonus just makes the rich richer rather than allowing newer players the chance to get the itcg stuff

id say twice as low as scrolls or stars, which ever drops at a lower rate.

how about 4 times as rare as chaos? or better yet, not at all. i would rather them NOT have itcg drop from monsters because some people who spent a lot of money would be seriously pissed off. Maybe an itcg pack that you buy from the cash shop that gives you 1-9 itcg items and they come in the same sets as they did before and they cost 4k nx.

Well, they haven't really shown that they care anything about existing players. Blue metuses(meti?) and dragon khanjars, anyone?

Yea, the spending lots of money thing is a bad argument. Each time there was a new influx of rare iTCG items coming in because they added them into a new set, the existing items fell in value, which would be the the same as if having them drop at a really rare rate. And on a second hand, not having them come back into the game would be far worse than having them drop at all, because as said before, the story is heavily tied with the iTCG items, and there are those who will never be able to get any of the items because they would rise in price due to them not being gotten anymore (as is already seen with the rise from the codes being unredeemable), as well as the lack of the items compared to the population wanting them.
Overall, id rather have even the slightest chance of getting the items from drops and having to spend real money on the even slimmer chance of getting them from a code.

Isn't that the exact opposite?
I mean, that gives players more of a chance to obtain such thing that is already in the game, but at a rare drop rate.
Besides, the amount of those items has heavily decreased already.

Contrary to popular belief "Life's not Fair" isn't grounds for a lawsuit.
In order to sue you have to prove damages - Nexon was never under contract to provide you with a fiduciary gain in return for you buying these cards. As long as they give you what you purchased (eventually), it doesn't matter if they give everyone else the same thing for free - You got what you paid for, regardless of depreciation.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.
