Computer failure...

Well, I was playing MS on my Marauder. I used Transform, and was training when I acidentally attacked too fast, and I knew I was going to d/c. But I didn't, my computer froze. (This had happened once before but did not take notice of the freezing too much.) I wait a couple of minutes, nothing happening. I manually shut down my computer. It being 2x, I natually wanted to get on again. I boot up my computer and see a black screen of death:

"Performing automatic IDE configuration

Boot Device Menu
============
1. Normal
2. Diskette Device
3. IDE CD-ROM Device
4. System Setup
5. IDE Drive Diagnostics
6. Boot to Utility Partition"

tldr; Computer broke. What2Do?
(It makes an odd clicking noise too...)

Repeated weird clicks and IDE (= harddisk / cdrom) configuration = harddisk error.

If you're a bit good with pc hardware, disconnect the external power cable and reconnect it a few times, then disconnect it again, open the pc case en re-connect the white/gray flat IDE cables and power plug (RBBY-colors) to your harddisk...

If it still doesnt work, 2 options left:
- get it to a pc expert (best solution)

- ghetto way (works better then you expect it would):
-- unscrew the harddisk (leave cables on)
-- power up the pc (don't worry it's only 12volts, you wont get a shock at all)
-- smack the harddisk with your hand several times. till you hear more clicks and a spin-up sound (bzzzzzzzzzzzupppttttt )
-- restart the pc and see if it boots now...
--- this method "fixed" 2 harddisks of mine, although you REALLY need to replace them, this is just a way of "reviving" totally locked-up harddisk heads.
--- this way is a really "end-game" solution if -all- else fails...
